1AM musings:
There are 3 stages in parent-child power/control dynamics.
1 - Autocracy - You have zero input in the decisions made for you. The food you eat, the clothes you wear, and even the associations you make are all determined for you.

All her plan is to sell the house, relocate abroad and get married. The family is wiser than her.

In fact, the future possibility of putting the house up for sale is a good reason to object to burying him on the property.
Toluwanisings this, Toluwanisings that. I will just say one thing: No matter how wealthy I may become in the future, no human being on earth has the right to force my wife to accept having me buried on her property (because it’s now her property). A house is not a burial ground, and if she says she is not comfortable with it, so be it.
“It’s because she planned to sell the house.” Is it your house or your father’s house? She can do whatever she wants with her property. Give her some respect.

As a Muslim, you can say it’s not what your religion truly preaches, valid. But you cannot say that Islam doesn’t have a genuine extremism problem, and it just is always one thing, annihilation of infidels.
ALL religions have theirs, in Christianity today it could be prosperity preaching, tomorrow it could be heretics or “don’t do blood transfusion” fanstism. But with Islam, it’s always just that one consistent thing. And what’s coincidental is, this is the very way Islam expanded.
Now it is very reasonable to feel the reason Global Islamic authorities have not condemned it the way the Pope scolded Trump’s use of the Bible to justify their wars, is because they are in fact benefiting from it.
Look at it this way, let’s assume these people jogging succeed in their wishes and went to Jos, massacred them and turned the place into theirs, you’d take your phone and tweet “I condemn the blah blah” but in years to come, if that place becomes an Islamic holy city, you will be happy for what it is, you will gladly go there, Islam benefitted from it.
Now that is why Islam always takes the heat when these things happen, cos if the “extremist”’s aim are fulfilled, and that violence helps the religion spread as they subdue other religions in other parts of the World, both Muslims in support and against will both benefit from the spread it gives Islam.
If my brother robs you of 50M, says he’s doing it for my family, you come and meet me and I deny it and say he doesn’t represent our Family, then he uses that money he stole to build a new family house for all of us, the family benefited, when next he steals from you and gives that same reason, if I also again “no o, he doesn’t represent our family, we didn’t send him”, will you believe me?

APC: 11 Years In Power, Yet Still Looking To The Past — Adamolekun
Eight years of Buhari and three years of Tinubu make 11 years of APC rule, yet the party is still referring to people who were in power years ago. Campaigning in a state it lost three years ago, the conversation should be centred on what has changed, not blaming the opposition for how people feel today.

A particular tweet comes to mind 😂.
It doesn’t always work like that oh☹️☹️
When I was working in the bank, one of my colleagues was dating a big man who happened to be one of our major customers. At the time, she still had her boyfriend so we all advised her to just chop the man’s money while maintaining her relationship. 😭
Six months into the relationship, she came to work one day and told us the man wanted to leave his wife and marry her we screamed.. We told her not to make that mistake because we were convinced that if he could leave his wife for her, he could also leave her for someone else.
She married him exactly one year into their relationship.
Fast-forward to when she had her first pregnancy, the man sponsored her to USA to have their first baby. she sent us chocolate and whenever I’m eating that chocolate, I feel like ntor 🥵😜was attached to it because imagined she listened to our advice? She for still dey do “next customer please with that red bank”
She has had her second child with the same man, got a brand-new car as a push present and her mum has travelled to the USA about five times now.
Omo, life don pass rich prince falling in love with village girl feem abeg..
Anytime I view her status, I’m always grateful that she followed her mind oh and never listen to us.
