Jesse Watters Presses Abdul El-Sayed on Trans Athletes — The Senate Candidate Pushes Back Jesse Watters: Do you support sex changes for minors? Abdul El-Sayed: I remember having great conversations with my conservative friends about right-to-try legislation and the idea that the government shouldn’t tell you what kind of healthcare you should have. I just think the government shouldn’t make those decisions for you. Jesse Watters: So, Abdul, you’re a doctor, right? Abdul El-Sayed: I am. Jesse Watters: So you think it’s okay for a parent to cut off their child’s genitals? Do you really want to have this conversation? Are you circumcised? Abdul El-Sayed: Yeah, but that’s a personal question. You probably should want to move on. Is circumcision different from castration? Jesse Watters: I think it’s a problem that you believe the government shouldn’t get to decide what happens between a parent, a doctor, and a patient. Circumcision is surgery on a child, too. I think you’re being selective about how you talk about these things. Boys playing in girls’ sports. Michigan isn’t going for that. That is sick stuff. Abdul El-Sayed: I’m not advocating anything. I’m just saying, Jesse, you haven’t asked me once about the issues people actually care about in Michigan. You don’t want to talk about gas prices, groceries, healthcare, or this trade war that’s about to destroy Michigan jobs. Jesse Watters: We spent the whole interview talking about those things. You don’t seem to want to talk about any of them. You want to bring up all this culture-war stuff. I’m not here to fight a culture war. I’m here to fight for healthcare. Abdul El-Sayed: We talked about the war, gas prices, and the Green New Deal. You told me we were going to have a conversation, but now you’re doing the greatest hits. You can keep doing that if you want, but I just want to understand what you’re getting at. Jesse Watters: I’m getting at whether you think men should play in women’s sports as the next U.S. senator from Michigan. Abdul El-Sayed: I’m interested in getting money out of politics, putting money in your pocket, and passing Medicare for All. Jesse Watters: You’re filibustering, Abdul, because you don’t care about what sports kids play. It’s a big issue, and I want to talk about the issues your viewers deserve to hear about. Should men play women’s sports? You have daughters, right? Abdul El-Sayed: I played sports my whole life. Sports were an important part of my life, and I’m grateful for the opportunity. At the end of the day, the decision about who gets to play which sports ought to be made by the people who govern sports. I’m running for the U.S. Senate, Jesse. I’m trying to take on the healthcare crisis and Big Pharma, and you’re asking me who gets to play which sports? It’s silly. People can’t seriously say this is the most important issue. Jesse Watters: It’s kind of a big thing.

EXLCUSIVE: A political bombshell for the DUP as loyalist Jamie Bryson is more popular with unionists than Gavin Robinson in our new @LucidTalk poll. And they have more faith in Upper Bann MP Carla Lockhart than in the DUP leader on "key unionist issues". belfasttelegraph.co.uk/news/…

Young foreign nationals are more than TWICE as likely to be unemployed as young Brits. It’s costing taxpayers dearly. 1.3 million foreign nationals are on Universal Credit, with taxpayers spending £14.3 billion on benefits for working-age foreign nationals in 2025. By 2030, it could reach £27 billion, according to the CSJ. Never forget what the Tories did to this country. They imported 5 million people in four years. Just 17% of them came on work visas. We cannot go on like this. Reform will ban foreign nationals from claiming benefits immediately. We will abolish ILR, deport all illegal migrants, and reverse the Boriswave. We will put the BRITISH people first.

Completely insane cope. Literally living in the UK, using pounds, speaking & writing a regional variety of British English, having the same passive-aggressive culture & almost all the same chains/brands as Britain makes NI in particular far more British than, say, Tucson, AZ 💀
Replying to @GearoidUnchaind
There's a higher concentration of Irish culture in the north than anywhere in the non-ghaeltacht republic. Northern Ireland is no more absorbed by US/UK culture than RoI, which is no more absorbed than the rest of the anglosphere.

At this point it’s probably the best for Russia. A collapse of the front may end the war, may see Putin removed from power. Hundreds of thousands of Russian men return home peacefully, saved from death or injury.
this is devastating for russia russians being pushed back

I do not understand why MaryLou from the South of Ireland is permitted to join these official British government meetings within Northern Ireland. I understand they are an all island political party. That doesn't automatically give he the right to be involved though. Explain this

SPECIAL REPORT: The localized Kherson Oblast ceasefire officially ended on November 1 and appears to have led to the successful evacuation of up to 800 civilians while providing sorely needed humanitarian aid to Oleshky and surrounding settlements. Although official sources have not yet confirmed evacuation numbers, it appears as though more residents chose to evacuate to Ukraine than to Russia. Russia’s nearly five-year-long occupation of Oleshky and its surrounding settlements created the conditions of total deprivation that generated the need for the ceasefire in the first place. Russia had the capability to accept the myriad ceasefire and diplomatic proposals that Ukraine has laid out in recent years but lacked the will to do so. Oleshky represents the fact that the Russian invasion can be halted immediately, but that Russia’s continued intransigence is the ultimate obstacle to any good-faith negotiation processes.

Laestadians are 2% of the population in Finland 🇫🇮, and 4.5% of live births. By 2050 they could be as many as ~12.5% of Births in Finland. This is part of why having a high TFR Subgroup is so important and why I am slowly trying to work out how large that base might be in Australia and working on policy to support them.

🇦🇲 Armenian Prime Minister Pashinyan says "Armenia no longer has interests in the CSTO" The Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) is a military-political alliance between Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Armenia, built around a principle similar to NATO’s Article 5. In 2021 and 2022, during clashes on the Armenia-Azerbaijan border, Yerevan officially requested CSTO assistance. However, none of the allies provided support. Moreover, Belarus, a military partner of Armenia within the alliance, officially supplied weapons to Azerbaijan. And Russia, in turn, continued to exploit and fuel this conflict for its own political interests for a long time. Against the backdrop of Armenia’s EU rapprochement, Vladimir Putin has threatened Armenia with a “Ukrainian scenario.”

Of the 51 Muslim candidates running for Congress, state legislatures, and local offices, at least 36 won last night. At this rate, in a decade that number will be in the hundreds. If you’re not terrified, you should be.

🚨🇺🇸🇮🇷 The strikes on Qeshm Island show how Trump can keep hitting Iran after losing Congress: never announce them The Journal revealed that Monday’s explosions on Qeshm were American, and that Washington has been running small, unannounced strikes on Iranian launchers and radars for weeks while talking up a deal. The Times added the trigger: the IRGC shot down a US drone and fired at two fighters first. Every hit is labeled “defensive,” nothing is declared, and CENTCOM says nothing. That matters more now than it did Monday. A Democratic Congress can refuse money for a new bombing campaign and subpoena the one that happened, but it can’t vote against a strike that’s framed as protecting a pilot over the Strait of Hormuz. So the war shrinks to the parts that need no permission: jets answering fire, launchers destroyed before they’re used, Iran’s coastal defenses thinned out one site at a time. The purpose is to keep Iran weak without owning a war, and it works for whoever picks this up next, a negotiator who wants Tehran desperate or a president who wants the big strike cheaper. It is very clear from the Policing Board that the senior management of the PSNI have zero understanding of the impact on confidence within the PUL community of their surrender to the Garvaghy mob, and the precedent they have set.
