Today my daughter’s school bus took 2 hours to travel just 2 km in Varthur/Gunjur road.
For those 2 hours, I sat there as a parent feeling completely helpless.
I work hard. My wife and I pay lakhs in taxes every month. We took a huge home loan mainly so we could live close to our daughter’s school and give her a safer, easier childhood.
And yet, this is what “2 km from school” means here.
In the last year alone, we have seen a school bus topple, a woman suffer serious injuries after a fall, a biker almost lost his life after falling because of a pothole, and many more incidents that never become headlines.
Every day, ordinary people here tweet, email, complain, follow up and plead with authorities.
We are not activists.
We are not fighting for a political party.
We are parents, employees, families and taxpayers asking for one basic thing:
Please give our children a safe road to come home on.
Today, more than the traffic, what broke me was the feeling that despite doing everything a responsible citizen is supposed to do, I had absolutely no power to protect my own child.
If anyone knows how ordinary citizens of Varthur/Gunjur can reach someone with the authority to actually intervene, please help us.

@blrcitytraffic @OfficeOfNG This stretch of the old Madras road and the service road are always jammed near KR Puram RTO. It is simply because there is no proper enforcement of one-way/2-way on service lane.

#WATCH | On Pahalgam terror attack, PM Modi says, "Today, on the soil of Bihar, I say to the whole world, India will identify, trace and punish every terrorist and their backers. We will pursue them to the ends of the Earth. India's spirit will never be broken by terrorism. Terrorism will not go unpunished. Every effort will be made to make sure that justice is done. The entire nation is one in this resolve. Everyone who believes in humanity is with us. I thank the people of various countries and their leaders who have stood with us."

The Video of politician Navjot Singh Siddhu stating his wife is cured of 4th stage cancer by just following Sugar free diet , eating turmeric and avoiding dairy products is very Misguiding to cancer patients and general public across the Nation .
The public should be aware his wife Najvot Kaur was undergoing Chemotherapy , Radiotherapy and operated surgically with pain & palliative management in a modern medicine hospital and Not any Herbal centre .
None of these original facts were stated in the video and only this herbal diet treatment was stated by him in the press conference .
This is a thankless behaviour towards the oncologists treating his wife .
The masses follow such vague advices with half knowledge by such public figures (hiding the main treatment course ) and thinking that cancer can be cured by doing such herbal remedies and abstinence of diet .
These factors also contribute to violence against doctors as public follow such advices and reach to doctors in terminal stages and expect them to do some magic treatment absence of which leads to anguish over the healthcare professionals .

Resident doctors MASS SUICIDE letter from Gandhi medical college ,Bhopal should shake the soul of every single citizen of this Nation.
The residents have given ultimatum of mass suicide on 31st may if the toxic culture is not removed completely
It has never happened in the history that harassed doctors are ready to take their own lives due to torture by their medical college .
Just to remind GMC Bhopal is the same place where multiple residents (including a pregnant doctor died due to toxicity)

20th Day OF MY #CLIMATEFAST
3000 people fasting with me. But still not a word from the government.
Very unusual for a democracy... when 90% of the population have come out to remind the leaders of their promises and 100s have been on fast some for 20 days.
But we're very impressed by the public support nationwide... making up for the compromised mainstream media.

Kissan Jam or Sugar Jam?
Kissan jam has 62.5% sugar!!
If you put 20grams jam in 3 slices of bread each, you are having 9 teaspoons of sugar! In comparison, a 300 ml coke has 8 teaspoons of sugar.
𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝𝐧’𝐭 𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐚 𝐠𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐜𝐨𝐤𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐟𝐚𝐬𝐭, 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐰𝐡𝐲 𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦 𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐣𝐚𝐦 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐟𝐚𝐬𝐭?
Kissan Jam intentionally markets itself as a “breakfast” item to be had everyday, but in my opinion, Kissan Jam is a dessert NOT a breakfast item.
They intentionally show a lot of fruits in their advertisement, but Kissan Jam mostly has sugar!
If you really want the benefits of fruits, eat the fruits instead of having jam to get the vitamins, minerals, fibre and other benefits!
Share to spread awareness!

Address proof is the biggest issue for anyone in their 30s.
Passport on 1 address
Aadhar on 2nd address
Bank passbook on 3rd
And just an expired rent agreement on the current address.

First, the moving announcement to quit wrestling by #SakshiMalik, who brought glory to the country with her Olympic medal, and now #BajrangPunia returning the Padma Shri award raise serious questions about the BJP's intent and commitment to the cause of female wrestlers.
BJP’s apathy and blatant disregard for the plight of affected players are distressing, shedding light on the party's insensitivity towards women's safety.

Here is a counter-argument in an age of short-term relationships: A steady relationship is underrated. Not having a volatile personal life makes life better. It also improves the odds of doing well personally and professionally.
We humans are social creatures, and we are hardwired to seek partners. But I don’t think a perfect partner exists. We all have our strengths and weaknesses, and relationships are about compromises. Having said that, sometimes people aren't compatible, and in such cases, ending the relationship makes sense. Everything else needs a lot of work but has a significant long-term upside.
Seema and I met while working night shifts at Ranjan Pai’s call centre called Dial M (Manipal group) back in 2002. It has been 20+ years of ups and downs, and the relationship has been crucial for whatever personal and professional success I have had.
Thanks, @SharmaShradha, for nudging us to talk about all of this, especially after everything Seema has gone through in the last couple of years post-cancer.

Gender disparity in organ transplantation
Most (4 out of 5) of the living organ donors are women.
Most (4 out of 5) of the living organ recipients are men.
The reasons cited for this disparity are:
1. Societal pressure on women to be caretakers and givers,
2. Hesitation of men to undergo surgery,
3. Ingrained preferences.
There is a need to address the issue of gender disparity in the field of organ donation.

In most great comedy scenes there’s a character who IS the audience. Very tough character to pull off. Matthew Perry was that on Friends. The one who, like us, sees how idiotic this all is. Super hard to combine that with being silly yourself. He walked that line perfectly.
