liking sports is so crazy your team has one good game and suddenly life is worth living and everything is beautiful and you don’t have to worry about anything

A lot of moms do this. They never go to the movie late because "it's a school night." They leave the game with 8 minutes left in the 4th "to beat traffic." They just race through life to meet the schedule.
Look up from your highlightered and sticky noted planner, and live!

i wish parents understood how mentally draining this is to a kid. it does nothing but lead to them being adults who have a fear of failure and think their life is meaningless/over when said failure happens

I do really like James Acaster but if I was so vehemently against the idea of possibly having to be a traitor, I would simply just not accept an offer to appear on a TV show called The Celebrity Traitors

Sometimes I think it’s time to stop tweeting things like “They appointed the Lokomotiv Moscow director of football, who had managed one top-flight season in the previous decade (when he appointed himself as manager)” and then I see a tweet like this

It takes minutes of time per day to keep a house clean with only 2 people living in it. You dont need a vacation from this.

Going over to a girls apartment is always like this. They always have fake rules. Can’t sit there. Dont touch that. No ice for water. One girl didn’t want me to walk on her white rug on the floor. She put a white rug in the middle of the room you couldn’t walk on. Insufferable

Horrible topic btw.
If you have a partner and never show them you desire them, then smth is wrong on YOUR side.
And the “i was busy, i was stressed i had lots to do” doesnt mean shit, its an easy excuse to avoid responsibility.
Cuddles dont take energy.
Snuggled dont take energy.
Love doesnt take energy.
Going up to ur partner and just cuddling them tight and kissing them takes no energy, yet it shows love.
Love is sharing with someone your personal space.
And i think it was pretty silly that he stop initiating, it showed obviously that ur the problem and all you can do is go “he tested me! So mean! How could he”
how could he?
HOW COULD YOU NOT LOVE HIM FOR THIS LONG AND MAKE YOURSELF THE VICTIM?!
seriously how DARE you?!
FOR ONE GOD DAMN MOMENT THINK ABOUT HOW U MADE HIM FEEL, THINK HOW IT FEELS TO BE UNLOVED BY SOMEONE YOU LOVE DEARLY.
u dont deserve no fucking pity
My husband told me he had stopped initiating sex because he wanted to see how long I could go without noticing that something was wrong in our marriage.
I thought he was joking.
He wasn’t.
It started on a Friday night when he tried to get intimate with me after a stressful week. I told him I was exhausted and wanted to sleep.
He kissed my forehead and said, “Okay, goodnight.”
I didn’t think twice about it.
The following week, he didn’t initiate anything. I assumed he was busy or tired, just like I had been.
Two weeks passed.
Then three.
He was still a good husband. He paid bills, helped around the house, asked about my day, and never complained about anything.

Someone could probably write a book (if they haven’t already) about the cycle of technology productizing the removal of friction in the name of convenience only for us to discover that the friction was a load-bearing part of the social compact.
Someone told me he thinks dating apps are bad because they let you access connection without having any motion in your life. Normally meeting people requires going out into the world, entering new scenes and navigating unfamiliar situations. You have to be living a life that brings you into contact with other people. Dating apps let you order connection without doing any of that work
My type of CF.
Absolute handful.
