Because people are missing this part, thanks to the CBC cover-up, Freeland was caught going 42 km/h over. 8 km/h faster and she would have been arrested and car impounded. The officer granted her "roadside leniency," and only charged the Deputy PM with 32 over. The media has decided to only report the lower number - not the real number.
The mainstream media is trying to make it less serious to protect Madame Cyclist.
At those high speeds, a kid on the road would be vaporized. A family in a mini-van getting t-boned would be slaughtered or maimed.
For someone who tells you to sell your car and ride a bike in Toronto, this behavior is not just hypocritical, it was near-criminal.
She exhibited reckless disregard for the safety of others, and she deserves a hell of a lot more than a fine. She deserves to be fired.
The fact that the CBC is trying to downplay this, and even act upset that we beat them to the scoop shows that they do not have the public's interest at heart. They have the Liberal Party's interest at heart.
Gotta love the federal waste on the completely useless CBC. CBC received $42 Mil to help recover from the pandemic and then gave out $46 Mil in bonuses. Your tax dollars hard at work. Time to get rid of the federal baggage.
