Working on a paper, I find myself once again staring at the credit denial rates by race and family income, and that the black-white difference *increases* with income.
Nearly 1 in 4 (23%) Black adults in families with income above $100,000 were denied credit over a year.

We need to change the narrative on poverty and expose the moral failings of society that allow poverty and hunger to exist in our land of abundance. Through policy we can end poverty. Great discussion at #HLA21 @HungerCenter

👏👏@amprog’s @areeba_haidr & @GgrHendricks today in @thehill:
This year's expanded #ChildTaxCredit is a game-changer (first checks are out today!).
Making it permanent would ensure tens of millions of children never know poverty in the first place.

As we celebrate #Juneteenth being recognized as a federal holiday this year (an important cultural shift!), I’m thinking of all the Black folks who won’t have the day off because they’re working low-wage jobs with no paid leave.
