If quantum unlocks old wallets, it also breaks current ownership.
One idea we published: pre-commit a post-quantum key to your BTC address before that happens, so rightful owners have a clean claim when things get messy.
Feels like we’ll need something like this no matter what.

On the plus side, if you forgot the password to your wallet, it will be accessible in the future

A few changes that we will probably incorporate to the PQR proposal soon in no particular order:
1. UTXO-level binding
2. Public indexing standard
3. Allowing multiple PQ keys per address (Dilithium, Falcon, etc.)
One experimental approach we published: anchor a post-quantum key to your BTC address before anything breaks, so you have a clean ownership claim if things go sideways.
Feels less theoretical by the day.
Many are wondering "what Google saw" that caused them to revise their post-quantum cryptography transition deadline to 2029 last week. It was this:
research.google/blog/safegua…
1. Go to pqr.tgob.ai/
2. Generate quantum-resistant keys
3. Register the public key with your BTC wallet
4. You now have quantum insurance
1. You run an anonymous Twitter
2. Rumors circulate that Twitter is going to be hacked in a few months
3. You Tweet your phone number beforehand so you can prove you’re the real you after the hack
This is a basically how PQR safeguards Bitcoin against quantum attacks.
Part of the foundation’s work will be funding and placing bounties on solutions to future quantum issues.
Publishing the PQR_ proposal is a jumping off point.
Our immediate next steps:
- Form the PQR_ Foundation
- Facilitate creation of a PQR_ explorer

Introducing Willow, our new state-of-the-art quantum computing chip with a breakthrough that can reduce errors exponentially as we scale up using more qubits, cracking a 30-year challenge in the field. In benchmark tests, Willow solved a standard computation in <5 mins that would take a leading supercomputer over 10^25 years, far beyond the age of the universe(!).

We have deployed a simple all-in-one Dilithium-based key pair generator/hashing/transaction tool on our website so you may easily add secure your address on the PQR_.
We have also included instructions to do so securely offline.
