Insane work
We @dot_discovery have rebuilt the WWF No Mercy engine inside Unreal Engine 5.
The intent here is to combine all the AKI series into a singular engine, for Free and open source on Github when done for non-commercial reasons.
It uses modern solutions for shadows/lighting and internal things like AI behavior, but the AI matches AKI 1:1.
This means that a creator can take a branch and turn this into something with extremely high quality models, but retaining that gameplay style that is beloved.
I just hit record. ☺️

I recreated DDP tricking Randy Savage by dressing up like LA Parka with commentary.
Made a hack for Raven's flannel i think @AKIStation64 came up with the original idea for WM2000 but ive converted it to work on NMP

@retrogiles @AJStylesOrg @the_prpodcast be sure to check this out.
Over the past few days both @KennyOmegamanX and @AJStylesOrg have talked great things about the greatest wrestling game of all time, Virtual Pro Wrestling 2.
There's a lot of phenomenal things happening with the AKI games. A lot of amazing mods from the AKI Community.

Did you grow up playing the WWF SmackDown games on PS1? Now imagine the same games, but with exploding barbed wire deathmatches.🔥
In late 2000, Yuke's released Simple 1500 Series Vol. 52: THE Pro Wrestling 2, sharing the same engine, plus many physics and UI as both SmackDown games.
Same foundation. Very different destination.
