If you're 25-30, and your main circle isn't discussing:
- Two critical vulnerabilities being identified in PHP that allow malicious actors to remotely execute code in PHP core, potentially compromising sensitive data and networks.
Then it's time to elevate your circle.

My favourite line from the AWS Lambda Web Functions X Space:-
the team wants choosing Lambda to be the last decision you make, not the first.
Event functions make you think
'I am using Lambda' the whole time, handler signatures, event objects, Lambda's own transport protocol.
Web functions just want you to bring code that serves HTTP and forget the rest. Small framing shift, but it explains almost every other design choice they talked about.
I love this discussion. If anyone would love to know behind scenes then watch this recording.

really sad about the announcement about Grace Hopper this week. if you were planning on attending and still want an opportunity to network and learn, here's a chance to attend re:Invent with some comp'ed tickets.
Replying to @kdaigle
Kyle, this is a classy move. Thanks for doing this!
AWS re:Invent isn't at the same time or area, but we're setting aside 100 complimentary passes for folks with cancelled GHC registrations. While re:Invent isn't a replacement for GHC, I also hope that it will give folks a chance to connect Nov 30-Dec 4th, in Las Vegas. Please email [email protected]

we’ll chat about some of the new things announced in serverless and also some of the hardest parts of building them either product and engineering leaders! join us at 10!
Don't Forget we are doing an X Space today on the new AWS Lambda Web Functions. Join @ASpittel (host), @julian_wood, @samrat_karak, and myself as we get in to the nitty gritty of it! 10 AM PT, right here on X!

YES! It's out it's out, I am SO excited for this! #AWSLambda Web Functions are a game changer! A true HTTP request handler and Each execution environment handles multiple requests simultaneously (up to 128 concurrent requests per environment). Multi-region deploy, and so much more! -> aws.amazon.com/blogs/aws/ann…
feel like ai is making me lazier and less smart. what are we doing to get around this? leetcoding on whiteboards?
AI agents don't use the cloud like humans do. AWS CEO Matt Garman on rewiring AWS for its newest "users":
"Increasingly we're seeing teams that want a cloud that is great to work with agents and not just with people."
" We've doubled down on things like starting a database in three seconds and some capabilities that agents are excited about."
"Many agents wanna create a database, do a little bit of work, and then have the database go away. You don't really need that database to have five nines of durability."
"There are new building blocks that agents are gonna want that we just didn't really need before: compute sandboxes, gateways, agent permissions versus people or service role permissions."
" A lot of those are things that we have built and are building and thinking actively about because they are just brand-new building blocks. It's not using the existing building blocks differently."

AWS CEO Matt Garman with a16z's Raghu Raghuram on the biggest cloud provider in the world being rebuilt for the agentic era:
$220B in CapEx for 2026, two million NVIDIA GPUs on order, AWS's AI chips sold out through next year, and a new 30-second AWS account with no credit card required so agents can get rolling.
0:55 $170B in revenue, growing 37%

Today we're announcing Strands Box, our open source sandbox for developers building AI agents.
New blog post from me, on the Strands blog: strandsagents.com/blog/stran…

back in july, I put an ai agent in a big mouth billy bass bringing billai to life. some of you asked how (or why). well, now that bidirectional streaming is GA in strands, I wrote up a deep dive on the the whole thing 🐟
we're chatting about the new AWS getting started experience on spaces!
ask product and engineering leadership about sign up with Google/GitHub, no credit card requirement for most users, agent-first DX, abstraction around IAM, spend limits! 🚀
