As indicated by the end of Part 2, DV's Dune has gone completely off the source material rails. I'm still going to see this, but my expectations are extremely low. Centering Chani is disappointing enough, but putting her in opposition to Paul is unforgivable.

Terrific comedian wholly out of his depth. I remember when he took on charter schools and was spectacularly wrong and ill-informed. When someone screws up a topic you know well, you assume--or should--that they're equally wrong about subjects you don't know.
