I just finished installing the @Abstract_Ocean Xpel Armor Kit on the front bumper, rear bumper, fenders, and mirrors on my Cybertruck. In all of the years of DIY projects, I’ve done, nothing has ever been this much fun where every single piece actually fit like a glove. Exactly. @NHTSAgov knows all of this and continues its anti-environmental policy - insisting on paper recall letters for software updates completed within 60 days.
The irrationality is that for physical recalls (where the vehicle needs to be taken to a service center) completed within 60 days, NHTSA does not require the paper letter.
Hopefully @SecretaryPete will pick any (or all) of these reasons to end this practice - customer confusion, environmental waste, cost savings.
