This year’s Classic Nostalgia weekend will celebrate 40 years of one of the world’s most successful motorsport companies, @prodrive. Prodrive has become synonymous with Subaru and Mini in the WRC, the BMW M3 on track in the BTCC and on the rally stages of Europe and the Porsche 911 that was the car that started it all off in 1984. Being trackside at Shelsley Walsh on July 20 +21, you'll see all of these cars on the fast Worcestershire hill climb that is a jewel in the crown of British motorsport. Recently Prodrive reimagined the Subaru Impreza WRC97 using modern technology to create the P25 – the ultimate Impreza road car. Only 25 examples have been built, each using an original two-door Impreza WRX chassis. Extensive use of carbon composites has kept the weight under 1200kg, the 2.5-litre engine was totally re-engineered by Prodrive to produce more than 400bhp resulting in what Top Gear called ‘a stunning labour of love’ that will take centre-stage at Shelsley's Classic Nostalgia on July 20 + 21.
