Something Mark McDonald said that has stayed with me. He said that the pictures we see of Lucy in happier times, enjoying life, he said "I'm not sure I've ever met that person, I'm not sure if she still exists." @ccrcupdate this woman has suffered long enough. #FreeLucyLetbyNow

The “innocence” case does not depend on conspiracy: all it requires is perfectly normal, everyday, common-or-garden mediocrity and incompetence.
To the contrary, the guilt case does: it paints Ms. Letby as a master puppeteer, orchestrating a vast array of unsuspecting dupes:

How do you, a layperson with no medical knowledge at all, tell the difference between the "doctors who don't know a fuck what they're talking about" and the "SPECIALIST DOCTORS"? And why would the latter rely upon the work of the former during the trial?

Be off with you, foul troll.
Nothing more than sealioning blowhardery with such cowardice and rigid attachment to "de legul prossess, innit"; it just sounds like a bunch of devout estoppelites.
Nobody is debating the legal process other than you, and however many alt/fake accounts are attached to this. My advice would be to debate the validity of the actual alternative explanations, or sod off to some other "debated true crime case".
Conspiracy theories are only conspiracy theories until they're proven to be true. For example:
1. Watergate's Cover-up Reached President Nixon
2. Tuskegee Researchers Withheld Syphilis Treatment
3. Tobacco Companies Concealed Smoking's Dangers
4. Project MKUltra Used Unwitting Human Subjects
5. COINTELPRO Targeted Civil Rights and Anti-war Groups
6. Operation Northwoods Proposed False Pretexts for War
7. Operation Paperclip Recruited German Scientists
8. The CIA Maintained Secret Media Relationships
9. Misleading Incubator Testimony Helped Sell the Gulf War
10. Iran-Contra Concealed Arms Sales and Rebel Funding
11. The NSA Collected Americans' Phone Records in Bulk
What Makes a Conspiracy “Proved True”?
If such outlandish conspiracy theories such as the above can turn out to be true, then what about more domestic "cover-ups" that saw people branded conspiracy theorists? For example:
1. The Post Office Horizon scandal
2. Hillsborough
3. The contaminated blood scandal of the 70's and 80's
4. The "spy cops" scandal
5. Historical Westminster Abuse & The Missing Dossiers
As for "de eveedunce iz eveedunce, innit", in 10 years, approximately 60 murder convictions were referred to the CCRC, with up to 70% of those referrals resulting in the overturning of the conviction.
Conspiracy theorists, my arse, Trolletta.

No, it wasn't. Thirlwall had the email, and buried it. She never made it public. Her lawyers never questioned Jayaram about it.
The only reason the public knows about the email is because David Rose and myself revealed its existence in this article: unherd.com/newsroom/hidden-e…

Yes, Lady Justice Thirlwall was straightforwardly dishonest in her characterisation of Jayaram's email, falsely insinuating that the jury at Lucy Letby's trial were aware of it.
Thirlwall, a Court of Appeal judge, put her name to this act of dishonesty.
xitter.cf/LucyLetbyTrials/status…
Unbelievable. The @Thirlwall_Inq *still* refuses to clarify when it came into possession of Dr Ravi Jayaram's stunningly revelatory email, written in 2017, which completely contradicted his evidence at Lucy Letby's retrial, in 2024.
Letby's defence were not made aware of the email until *after* she was convicted at the retrial. And the @Thirlwall_Inq has steadfastedly refused to confirm or deny whether it came into possession of Jayaram's email *before* the retrial even began. (See my original correspondence with the Thirlwall Inquiry team on this matter, over a year ago, in the quoted tweet below.)
Lady Justice Thirlwall's report, published today (link also below) tries to skirt the question, by stating that Jayaram's email was "disclosed to all Core Participants in September 2024." But that doesn't tell us when the inquiry itself learned of the email. It doesn't even acknowledge that Cheshire police fished out this email from Thirlwall's cache of documents in August 2024.
Most egregiously, Thirlwall's sly phrasing may give the reader the impression that Jayaram's 2017 email was put before the jury. It was not. Once again: Letby's defence were not made aware of its existence until after she was convicted of attempting to murder Baby K.
The Thirlwall Inquiry team, meanwhile, have had over a year to clarify that they *didn't* sit on exculpatory evidence ahead of Letby's retrial. And yet, despite addressing the 2017 email in her report, Lady Justice Thirlwall still refuses to answer the question.
You'd think she'd want to set the record straight!

A point of correction: the Thirlwall Inquiry did not reveal the damning email by Dr Jayaram, which completely contradicted the evidence he gave on the stand.
On the contrary: the Thirlwall Inquiry sat on the email. They kept schtum about it. They won't even clarify if they became aware of the email *before* or *after* Lucy Letby's retrial.
In other words, the Thirlwall Inquiry cannot even bring itself to let the public know whether or not it sat on exculpatory evidence ahead of a freaking trial.

I'm sick and tired of this "jury/court said this so they must be right"
I don't give a fuck what they think when:
1. We have access to all the information they had
2. We know things now that they did not know
3. Ultimately a jury is 12 random people. It's not God.

During making of #scapegoat for @channel5 I put it to Dr Dewi Evans how unlikely it was that #lucyletby could have ‘injected’ air into all her victims without being noticed. He showed me how easy it really was.
