I met with U.S. Senators Richard Blumenthal @SenBlumenthal and James Lankford @SenatorLankford during the National Prayer Breakfast in Kyiv. I am grateful to the United States for its unwavering bipartisan and bicameral support. We appreciate that work continues in both chambers of the U.S. Congress to increase pressure on Russia, and we hope that Lindsey Graham’s bill on sanctions against Russia and Iran can ultimately be passed.
I briefed the Senators on Russia’s ongoing ballistic missile terror. It is very important for Ukraine to have the capabilities to counter this, and implementing the decision to grant licenses for the production of Patriots could significantly help. We also discussed cooperation between Ukraine and the United States, bilateral agreements, and promising projects. Thank you!

When the news came that former Governor George Nigh had passed, I had to take a moment to reflect deeply on the life that he led.
Whether as Lieutenant Governor or Governor of Oklahoma, he remained a steadfast fixture in mine and all of my fellow Oklahomans’ lives. We may have not always agreed on every political issue, but I always admired and respected him.
Speaking with many of my friends and neighbors over the years, this sentiment is widely shared across our community. With this in mind, I only wish our modern world had more figures like George Nigh.

It’s now 2:20p on the day before the government shuts down. The speaker hasn’t spoken at all today or much of yesterday publicly. Lawmakers involved in talks with the leadership say they’re not making much progress. The senate doesn’t know what’s going on. Things are pretty grim.

Our officers just arrested a man who was stopped during our screening process at the Capitol Visitor Center (CVC). The man smelled like fuel, had a torch & a flare gun.
The CVC is closed for tours for the day, while we investigate. We will provide more information when we can.

Tragic news this morning. Praying for the families of Davy and Natalie Lloyd during this very difficult time.
I did not know Davy personally, but he and his parents are from Claremore, OK.
He and his wife Natalie did incredibly important work with Missions in Haiti Inc, which is also based in Claremore.
Natalie’s dad is in the Missouri State Legislature and Natalie’s mother works with my friend and colleague Congressman Eric Burlison.
