No. It's akin to the political/spiritual leaders of Jesus' & Isaiah's day performatively speaking God honoring words. Jesus didn't say, "How nice of them to speak good words they don't really mean." Jesus didn't care because their hearts were far from Himso He called them out!

Divorce and remarriage is adultery...a sin whose punishment should be death. Prove me wrong.

What if I told you to follow the way of Jesus when hypocrites break out the sweet "honoring" words while their hearts are far from the Lord?

Wendy, I I hadn't seen your post but said the same thing earlier. James's post is the epitome of performative Christianity. James isn't wanting the word of the Lord to go forth so it might impact people. He's making it clear to the minions on here that he's on the Trump train.

If you want to speak the word, speak the word. But why you tying it to a man who has no use for the Lord. He's a hypocrite-one like those leaders Jesus reviled. It seems fairly obvious that your post is performative rather than being concerned about the impact of the words.

As far as Trump and anyone else, just look at their actions. "By their fruit, you shall know them."

Yikes. If this is what you voted for you need to reexamine yourself. This is the only response to Trump's post:

Have you read your Bible lately? You also gonna say, "How can any true Christian object to our nation's leader honoring God with his lips?" Jesus took that hypocrisy and threw it in their faces. Be like Jesus!

Is Biden close or far? How about Obama? Did you ever hear someone criticize the faith of either of these men and take to Twitter to say, "You do not know whether the heart of Biden or Obama are close or far."

What is this nonsense? Do you think this is Jesus-like when someone whose heart is far from Him puts on a show and uses words of honor. Do you think either Jesus or Isaiah were the types to slobber all over someone because of nice words? Speak the truth, man. BE LIKE JESUS!
2
Repent. Highlighting people who are taking the lord's name in vain? NEVER! Platforming people whose hearts are far from the Lord as though they are great Christian men? This is the work of a hypocrite. If you speak of the White House, call them hypocrites. Be like Jesus!!!

Then acknowledge church history. But did you see Jesus or Isaiah rejoicing when Israel's leaders were spouting God honoring words? Would they have taken those words and praised these hypocrites for them? YOU acknowledge church history but do it divorced from the hypocrite.

Do you not hear the word of the Lord about what we are to say about leaders who give sweet sounding words? We must speak the truth about these men. Now, if you want to speak this message unattached from Trump, go for it. Otherwise, speak the truth about who wrote these words.

Do not ever lie to your kids. Yes, pray for your leaders but tell them the harsh truth of who this despicable man is. We as fathers have a duty to NEVER call evil good.

Tell your kids the truth. The man who posted this is a white washed tomb, a reviler of the Lord, & a hypocrite. Even men like this can feign sweet sounding words. In this house we do like Jesus and Isaiah. We call them out as hypocrites for taking our Lord's name in vain.

For the love of God do not read this saying it's from the president. Do not expose your children to men who say sweet sounding words hours after talking gleefully about a man's a$$. Those who take the Lord's name in vain like this should not be celebrated by fathers.
