Visited the Alesteng 220/132/33 kV Power Grid Station (Ganderbal) and reviewed the existing power infrastructure along with the approved Rs 56.78 crore augmentation project. This project, together with the upgradation of various stations, will strengthen the transmission & distribution network, improve power supply, address voltage fluctuations and reduce overloading. Our commitment to reliable electricity for the people of Jammu & Kashmir remains firm.

Chaired a comprehensive review meeting of the Law Department at the Civil Secretariat, Jammu, to take stock of its functioning and review key areas, including litigation management, judicial infrastructure, digital initiatives, human resource issues and public service delivery. Emphasised the need for greater transparency, timely compliance with court directions and a citizen-centric approach to governance. Directed officers to ensure effective coordination, accountability and prompt delivery of services. Our focus remains on strengthening institutional efficiency and making the justice delivery system more accessible and responsive to the people.

Today chaired a comprehensive review of the DMRRR Department. Directed officers to ensure time-bound relief & rehabilitation for migrant families and disaster-affected households. Focus on restoration of migrant properties, better facilities in colonies, speedy compensation, and strengthened disaster preparedness. No eligible family should face hardship due to delays.

A distinguished bureaucrat and former NC MLC, his loss is deeply felt. My heartfelt condolences to @AhsanPardesi and the bereaved family. May Allah grant him Jannat-ul-Firdous. Ameen.

Today reviewed the Power Development Department, stressing winter preparedness with adequate stocks of transformers & equipment for remote, snow-bound areas. Directed priority supply to hospitals & critical services, RDSS works, & 200 MW procurement to bridge the gap between demand and supply to ensure proper electricty supply during peak winters. Emphasised timely projects, reduced losses, consumer-friendly grievance redressal & fair resolution of PDL/CLW workers’ issues. Committed to reliable, transparent electricity for every household in J&K.
