Ghosting can be cruel when done selfishly or out of convenience. However, the fact is that if you abuse and manipulate others repeatedly over multiple occasions, they will be increasingly likely to ghost you for their own self protection.

Something mentally ill adults, myself included, can have a hard time realizing is that you often make your own hell in an effort to avoid it. If you regularly manipulate and harangue others out of anxiety about them ghosting you, guess how they're probably going to respond?
