I personally found Striker and Barbie hilarious. He was never confirmed as aroace, and she's pan rather than a lesbian. Plus I get the distinct impression it's similar to her relationship with Jimmy anyway 🤷‍♀️

Embarrassed at how people claim to support bi and pan characters until they start dating an opposite gender character. Both the short and merch made it clear Barbie and Kendra had broken up; the relationship was very much on its last legs when we saw them.

I think part of the problem is people aren't used to queer slowburns, because you seldom see them in media. Queer couples tend either to get together offscreen & seem "perfect" compared to the heteronormative pairs (Stolssago?), or they break up & that's it (too many soaps)
