Tomorrow (Thursday 29th) I'm appearing before the parliamentary committee scrutinising the draft Conversion Practices Bill. I've written in my newsletter about how extraordinarily dangerous this planned law is. Free to read thehelenjoyce.com/p/terf-isl…

I can't get over how stupid this is. How can you think "yes it looks bad, but bear in mind that most of the Afghan asylum seekers are young men, the demographic most likely to commit rape" makes your argument stronger?
Replying to @MonkEmma
Which is ridiculous, as the overwhelming majority of sexual offences are committed by young men. And Afghan populations in the UK are heavily skewed toward young men. So you are not comparing a like-for-like population. 5/

🚨BREAKING: The world No. 1 in women's tennis, Aryna Sabalenka, unleashes a devastating and unfiltered statement: "It's vital to protect fairness. Biologically, men are much stronger than women. It's not fair. It's not equality. It's not women's sports if we let biological men compete against us." She sides with Sophie Cunningham and sends a clear message: women are not going to keep staying silent while they steal our titles, podiums, and opportunities from us.

In 2021, NHSE commissioned Dr Robin Warshafsky to investigate concerns about Dr Sam Hall's prescribing practices. Dr Warshafsky's full report is to be found at page 653 of the hearing bundle, but has not to my knowledge been released in downloadable form.

Upton's complaint at the hospital before he moved to NHS Fife.
Another note from the bundle. This transcribed by my friend Bryndis Blackadder Sandie Peggie response to disciplinary allegations in A Glancey’s letter 19th July 2024. Re: Dr Upton complaining that an elderly female patient called him "son" and a student student doctor had not done enough to support him.

Important and characteristically forensic article from Hannah
🚨Hilary Cass has called for an independent inquiry into how Brighton GPs were allowed to prescribe cross-sex hormones to children as young as 12.“There urgently needs to be an investigation of why every system that should have protected children, young people, and indeed young adults has failed,” she told me. The employment tribunal between Dr Sarah Redvers and NHS Sussex has highlighted how regulators and the NHS collectively failed to stop prescribing of puberty blockers and hormones against national guidelines - for years - and how instead the person raising concerns was accused of transphobia and herself investigated. Dr Redvers sat down with me for her only newspaper interview about her treatment in a scandal which, Cass now says, “dwarfs” that of the Tavistock’s GIDS. Me for the Sunday Times… thetimes.com/article/cfde7b4…

If you don't know what the Conversion Practices bill is about, please please watch this. It purports to ban "abuse" but in fact it will criminalise loving parents seeking to protect unhappy children from lifelong harm. It's extraordinarily serious.

My latest article in @spikedonline asks why the BBC was unable to persuade @jk_rowling to participate in a series about her life and work. The sad fact is the BBC can no longer be trusted to be impartial about some of the biggest issues of the day. spiked-online.com/2026/10/20…

Prediction: This law will *harm* the career prospects of people who ID as trans. Why? Employers won't want the risk of having them in their workplace, if they can't talk about any issues that arise. This group will be unemployable.

Malala has raised millions of dollars in the name of educating Afghan women and girls, so she must be held accountable and explain how that money has been spent. I am an Afghan girl living in Afghanistan, and I see no evidence of Malala’s funds being spent here. Where are the schools and organizations that Malala allegedly funded in Afghanistan? Malala also says nothing about the Afghan girls who are being bombed by Pakistan government.
Ok guys, I’ve been looking into Malala Yousafzai’s charity, the Malala Fund and I have some questions. According to its 2024–2025 financial reports: Revenue: $16.48 MILLION Expenses: $23.34 MILLION Net assets: $42.97 MILLION That means the charity spent approximately $6.86 MILLION MORE than it brought in‼️ And then there are the executive compensation figures: CEO: Approximately $372,000 Chief Adviser: Approximately $320,000 COO: Approximately $241,000 The charity’s tax filings also disclose FIRST CLASS or PRIVATE travel for officers or key employees. ✈️ WTF?! But here’s what I’d like to know: How much of that $18.94 MILLION in program spending actually reaches girls and local educational organizations? How much goes toward salaries, consultants, advocacy campaigns, and travel? What measurable educational results can donors independently verify? And why did a charity with $16.48 million in annual revenue spend over $23 million that year?!? 🤯 When you’re raising millions in the name of educating vulnerable girls, I don’t think asking where the money goes is unreasonable. Charity should be about the cause, not the celebrity attached to it. It now makes sense why Malala looked so comfortable dining at Claridge’s. Malala lives a life like a rockstar. malala.org/?gad_source=1&gad…

Speaking outside my usual comfort zone next Sat. I've a pretty clear line on fertility tech, but have zero knowledge of the debates around c-sections which will also be covered. I'm not a mum & have never wanted to be. Can anyone point me to articles on this from all angles?
