What is happening in California?! 🚨‼️
Ahead of plans to tear down the Potter Valley dams, PG&E has shut off water to farmers in Potter Valley without warning. 💧
Dan Thornton is a fourth-generation pear grower. His irrigation water was shut off at a critical time just before harvest. Without water, his 110 year-old pear trees, planted by his great-grandfather, could be dead within a year.
Farmers like Dan say this is just a taste of what is coming for 600,000 Northern California residents when these dam removals are approved.
The dams divert just 0.37% of the flow of the Eel River for agriculture, fire suppression, and residential use. But for the anti-human extremists running California, 0.37% is too much.
Governor Gavin Newsom has publicly promised to remove the Potter Valley dams as part of his “strategy” for an environmentally-conscious future.
Speak up now. This is American agriculture, these are our legacy family farms and ranches. Save our farmers, save our homes, save the Potter Valley Project!

What is going on at FFA? I keep hearing from people inside the organization who have concerns, and I’m not totally sure what to make of it.
The first sign of drift was back in 1988, when the organization officially changed their name. Since then, some are worried certain chapters—and certainly the corporate side of the org—have “gone woke.” Others say freedom of speech is still welcomed and encouraged. But there are puzzling signs. A Christian farm group can’t rent a booth at the national convention. A Chinese state-owned company that may have helped write FFA’s DEI strategy.
One thing is for sure: No one I’ve spoken to has anything but love for FFA. They want to see it continue to thrive and serve the next generation of students in agriculture and rural America. They want FFA to stay true to its roots and to what makes it special.

Replying to @NationalFFA
@NationalFFA just got our Facebook page suspended for “trademark infringement” after we reposted public posts criticizing their religious speech restrictions.
No notice. No specific content identified. No chance to appeal properly.
This isn’t the first time they’ve tried to silence debate about the policy that bars officers and members from expressing their faith.
Since the page went dark on 10/8, criticism has only grown!
@NationalFFA and @Meta: Lift The Suspension.

Always the same story.
The states drag their feet, the Courts rule not enough time to address, the election comes and goes, the case is mooted.
Voter ID is the only way. Yes on 39.
I’ve said it over and over. Gavin Newsom is only positioning as a moderate because it suits him. He is a shapeshifter with no absolutes except accumulating power and wealth for himself. Beware
UNDERCOVER: GAVIN NEWSOM SAYS THE DSA IS "GOING TO BE DOMINANT" AND "MAINSTREAM" IN THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY!
"The DSA, the energy and the desire and demand for bold change, not incremental change, is very much going to be dominant. I mean, that's going to be a mainstream Democratic movement. Absolutely. No question about that."
That's California Gov. Gavin Newsom, a likely 2028 presidential candidate, speaking to an undercover journalist while campaigning in New Hampshire.
Asked by a "younger voter" who said "we don't want Kamala Harris, we want more democratic socialist policies":
"No one is arguing to manage the status quo and fail more efficiently."
"You can't play in the margins anymore. The system's broken. It's completely unbalanced, and we can't manage the decline. We have to completely reimagine."

For fourteen years, everyone thought U.S. Air Force Technical Sergeant John Chapman died in the first two minutes on top of a freezing 10,000-foot mountain in Afghanistan.
Then modern image technology unlocked the thermal camera footage recorded by a Predator drone circling high in the clouds on March 4, 2002.
When Pentagon investigators watched the enhanced screen, hardened combat generals broke down in tears. Because the video proved that after everyone else had left the mountain peak, John Chapman woke up alone in the snow and fought an entire army by himself.
That night on the peak of Takur Ghar, thirty-six-year-old Chapman, a father of two little girls from Connecticut, had charged uphill through thigh-deep snow alone to silence an enemy bunker and save his pinned-down team. Hit from a second bunker, he fell motionless. Believing he was dead, the surviving team was forced to retreat down the ridge.
Chapman was not dead.
The drone footage showed him regaining consciousness in the pitch-black snow, surrounded on three sides by enemy fighters, with nine separate wounds in his body.
In total darkness, with no comrade beside him and nobody on earth watching except a silent camera in the sky, he refused to surrender. For more than an hour, he fought from inside the bunker, killing an enemy fighter in bare-handed close combat when they tried to rush him.
Then, at dawn, Chapman heard the heavy thump of rotor blades in the mist.
An American Chinook helicopter carrying twenty-three U.S. Army Rangers was flying straight toward the peak to rescue him, right into the sights of an enemy rocket launcher.
Chapman knew that if he stayed safe inside the rock bunker, those twenty-three young Americans in the helicopter would be blown out of the sky.
So on the thermal video, investigators watched John Chapman deliberately climb out of the bunker, stand up tall in the open snow, and fire into the enemy positions to draw every machine gun on the mountain onto his own chest.
He died in the snow as the sun rose, shielding the incoming helicopter with his life.
True bushido is what a warrior does when he thinks nobody will ever know his story. The sky was watching, John. And America will remember your name forever.

"I’ve always wanted to change the world, but I’ve felt small. I’m just a carpenter from Bend, Oregon."
"He plans to teach his daughters to use guns."

MOTHER OF HERO SPEAKS OUT 🙏🏼
Kaylub Giamanco’s mom just described the phone call she got moments after her son stopped the school shooter in Bend, Oregon.
“He said, Mom, I just shot and kiIIed somebody.”
She asked him to tell her about it.
“A man went into my daughter’s school and shot kids. And I looked at him point blank and I shot and kiIIed him, Mom.”
She told him he saved a lot of lives.
His answer: “Mom, I couldn’t save them all.”
He was driving home from lunch when he heard the shots. He pulled up onto the grass, grabbed his gun, and followed the gunman back into the school. He army-crawled through a window the shooter had already blasted out and ended the attack.
Three kids and a teacher were already gone. His own daughters were safe. Now he’s struggling with the ones he couldn’t reach and asking himself what he could have done differently.
This is what happens when a good man with a gun runs toward the sound of gunfire instead of waiting for someone else to show up.
THAT is what stopped more of them from dying.
Kaylub Giamanco is a hero.

This guy is the archetype of the American persona and literally represents what I consider to be the best attribute of being an American.
Where I live, there are hundreds, if not thousands, of men like him -grounded, unpretentious, pragmatic men of action.
Thank God, people like this exist.
Bend, Oregon man who shot and killed a shooter at his daughters' school speaks out, praises female teacher for fighting the shooter, allowing him to have a clear shot.
Kaylub Giamanco says he is haunted by the sound of children pleading for their lives.
He also praised the teacher for grabbing the gunman's weapon, allowing him to take a shot at the shooter.
"I want to recognize [the teacher]. She gave me the opportunity to make my shot without losing my life..."
"I swung the door open, and I stepped in, and I fired, and they dropped to the ground... I looked down at the gunman, and he was scrambling for his weapon. And I looked at him, and I shot him 2 more times..."

Subsidies are not the farmer’s friend. They drive up costs and make us all look like socialists and welfare queens. Ultimately, they’re a whole lot like welfare in that they tend to keep their recipients poor unless the recipient learns how to farm them at scale. They’re not meant for you, they’re meant for banks, equipment companies, fertilizer companies, seed companies, and other suppliers who line politicians pockets.

Ask yourself why margins are tight.
Every government payment is a dollar that doesn't have to come from the market, meaning signals aren't happening, meaning price discovery isn't taking place, meaning inputs stay high, meaning margin compression continues.
Death by 1k cuts.
lol!
Welcome to election season.
Currently, because there’s nothing new to talk about, the right is back to the doom spiral.
As soon as positive trends begin flowing in every single state that is voting, it will be back to red wave mode.
Then this weekend, when news is at a standstill and many states don’t update, we will be back to possibly losing Wyoming.
But the next red wave cycle is only a day away.

Scoop: Both parties just got back new internal polling that shows a tightening map in the core House battlegrounds - as Republicans are still struggling to shore up a raft of redder seats.
Senior Dems are trying to set expectations about how big of a majority they might win. Rs still face serious problems in North Carolina, South Texas and more.
