Again, we really can’t come up with a better system to spot a football than a group of adults trying their hardest to do it by sight?

The venerable @Bods27 may expense a hazmat suit but the show will go on in Toledo this weekend (I'm guessing the situation will be under some level of control by Saturday).
In more MAC football news, Western Michigan's game at Toledo will be played as scheduled Saturday, despite a chemical spill last night that caused the evacuation of about 1,000 Toledo residents.

Obviously it's like the 59th most important detail of the broader story but I am keeping tabs on what, if anything, is going to happen with Western Michigan's game at Toledo this weekend, given the recent industrial explosion/chemical cloud and contamination in the area.
Broncos play noon Saturday in Toledo, as currently scheduled; would have to imagine the hope is just that the environmental cleanup has begun and the danger subsided by then but still, weird thing to be looming over the game rn!

My colleague @mark_cooperjr conducted a survey of @TheAthletic readers about the 24-team Playoff.
6,318 responded. 90% say they watch CFB every Saturday.
Can't imagine how thrilled ESPN is to be spending $345M on something this popular.

Clown behavior from Maryland athletics
For @testudotimes, @JudeWilkenfeld and I were outside Jones-Hill House trying to get players to comment. An athletics staffer took pictures of us, and a police dispatch was called for suspicious activity; a cop and 2 cop cars pulled up, and officers ID’d us and asked us to leave.
