Current Brexit deal: +0.3% GDP Customs union: +1% Single Market: up to +5% Full EU membership: up to +6% And Goldman estimates the UK economy is already around 6% smaller than its counterfactual path since the 2016 referendum. Non wonder the debate is changing. The further Britain moves back towards Europe, the larger the potential economic dividend. Brexit was sold as a growth strategy, but now 10 years later, the growth strategy is undoing Brexit asap.

‼️ Russia’s hybrid war against Europe is moving from disinformation and cyberattacks towards sabotage and possible assassination. This is the national-security reality behind Brexit. Russia sought to divide Britain from Europe. It is now exploiting the fragmentation of the West while attacking Ukraine, violating Nato airspace and targeting European infrastructure and defence executives. Poland’s foreign minister: “We think the EU was better and would be better with Britain in it.” He says Poland will support Britain moving closer to the EU and asks Britain to support Poland joining the G20. This is precisely the strategic partnership we should build. Britain cannot confront Russian aggression, protect its infrastructure or rebuild its economic security by standing apart from Europe. Rejoining is no longer merely an economic argument, it is about the collective defence and resilience of our continent.
