Yes. My son has carers coming in every day, twice a day for 45 minutes for personal care. The cost to him is £300 a month, the actual invoice is £1,200 a month. If they cut PIP, DLA or the UC health element any more people won't be able to afford carers and and councils won't be able to afford to fund it. Also look at the extortionate amount of that £1,200, the carers themselves earn around £15 an hour if that

🚨IMPORTANT🚨 Can I borrow you for a sec? This is important! Did you know that in order just to repair buildings etc in the NHS in England that have been judged a “high risk” to patients and staff, they’d have to spend £3.7 billion? Why is the media silent about this? Why aren’t the public being informed?🚨

🚨 This is @andyburnham first genuine test of British sovereignty. Skynet carries Britain’s most sensitive military communications. Its £2.4bn replacement cannot be treated like an ordinary procurement exercise. Airbus has maintained Britain’s sovereign satellite capability for decades, supporting thousands of highly skilled jobs in Stevenage and Portsmouth. The Ministry of Defence reportedly wanted to transfer the contract to America’s Lockheed Martin. After Trump, Starlink and Ukraine, these are no longer theoretical questions. Britain must not surrender another piece of critical national infrastructure to a foreign technology giant and call it sovereignty. Unless complete British operational independence can be guaranteed, Skynet should remain anchored in Britain’s existing capability and the European defence system we urgently need to strengthen.

President Zelenskyy: Russians have taken thousands of Ukrainian children from our land. Now, we see something even worse. Russia has already started sending some of these children, children they stole from us, who have grown up during this war, grown up over these years, into the Russian army. And this is horrible, and it must stop.

Michel Barnier says the 'door is open' to the UK rejoining the EU. That the UK could join the EU without adopting the Euro, just as we did before. But what is not negotiable is the EU Single Market - no cherry picking. Your reminder that in 2015 former Conservative MEP Daniel Hannan said "Absolutely nobody is talking about threatening our place in the single market" - since, the UK has left the EU Single Market and Hannan now sits in the House of Lords. In 2015 Conservative MP and Environment Secretary Owen Patterson said of leaving the EU, "only a madman would actually leave the market." - After resigning because of a lobbying scandal he ran the Centre for Brexit Policy for three years, basically advocating for the thing he said only a madman would do. He also appealed to the ECHR for help, that's the same ECHR the Conservative party says it would leave. Nigel Farage used to say the UK could be like Norway, which is outside the EU, but inside the EU Single Market saying, "They are rich, they’re happy and they’re self-governing countries" - so even according to Farage, being in the EU Single Market makes the UK a sovereign self-governing country. And Boris Johnson first said, "I’d vote to stay in the single market. I’m in favour of the single market," but three days after referendum changed his tune, "There will continue to be free trade, and access to the single market." Being in the EU Single Market is something that Brexiters either specifically said we would retain, or implied that we would. So rejoining the EU Single Market is actually in line with what they said would happen leading up to the 2016 Brexit referendum. The sooner the UK rejoins the EU Single Market, the better.

Russians are using “shahed” drones and missiles to hit even the energy equipment that our nuclear power plants depend on. Every power plant in Ukraine has been damaged in one way or another by Russian attacks. We need transformers, and power cables, modern electrical equipment, and different generators – both diesel and gas. We know that companies in Spain and Latin America can help with this. We are interested in transformers from Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, and Colombia, power cables from Chile, and electrical equipment, cables, and generators from Spain. We need equipment that works with our power grid. And we need it fast. So please, help us work directly with your companies and get these supplies to Ukraine as quickly as possible. So let’s make it happen. From an address at the 30th Ibero-American Summit. (3/3)

How is this ok...... this fucking country is detestable. Austerity meant cutting fatally necessary services. Over a million dead whilst @Conservatives sit in opposition, when they should be sitting in the DOCK!!
Trigger warning: suicide Thirteen year old Eivie White took her own life after eight years of refusals by her local authority to support her autism. Six months later, Eivie’s best friend took her own life, aged 13. Eivie is one of 200 cases related to avoidable child suicide and 1,200 child testimonies of SEND misconduct by 134 local authorities which I gave the government in February. They have not acted. The Police are now involved. I asked at Prime Minister’s Questions that as local authority misconduct is leading to children’s deaths, whether the government still plans to reduce children’s legal protections - especially on tribunals - in the SEND reforms.

Eivie White avoidably took her own life aged thirteen due to public authority misconduct. I raised her case at Prime Minister’s questions yesterday. Today her family spoke to the BBC. Sadly there is very strong evidence that there are hundreds of SEND children like Eivie. The harsh but brutal reality is that there will be more if the government proceeds with their SEND reforms in their current form which weakens children’s legal protections from local authorities. The country is looking the other way.

At the Budget, the Government introduced a higher tax on bank mega-profits to help fund support for people's energy bills. Last night, Reform MPs voted AGAINST it. Remember that the next time they claim to be on the side of ordinary people.

10 years ago today, Fiona’s autistic son, Christopher, was exploited and murdered in his home. Since my election I have been campaigning alongside Fiona to close a loophole in the law to prevent the misuse of the presumption of capacity in the Mental Capacity Act 2005 which can leave vulnerable adults at risk of harm. The current system is failing autistic adults like Christopher, we cannot let this continue. Read more about Fiona’s campaign here: npaa.org.uk/law-for-christop…

The balance of power in the United States has shifted as the political atmosphere has been hit with a Big Blue Mega Tsunami. That does not mean #Legion of #Anonymous takes a break. We will hold whoever is in power to account, republican or democrat. Stop funding Israel. Ensure prosecution of the #Epstein collaborators and clients. Purge yourself of anyone who would dare protect them. Release the #EpsteinFiles and use what is in them to impeach and convict The President of The United States alongside all of his other actions. Discontinue what earned you the name “do nothing democrats” and do your fucking jobs this time.

Suicide is the most significant cause of early death of autistic children. This is a journey I would not wish on anyone. Las, MATs and DfE have a lot to answer for. Every child matters!

I hope there are serious penalties for the BBC, nothing short of total exposure of their own lies and propaganda.
Watch our full interview here: youtube.com/watch?v=w0G4LO3_… The UN Special Rapporteur on the Occupied Palestinian Territories, Francesca Albanese, has singled out the BBC as one of the worst offenders in terms of propagating Israeli narratives, and not allowing Palestinian guests to talk about the suffering of their people. Albanese told us that the BBC and UK government are wrong to claim that we have to wait for the ICJ ruling to determine whether Israel has committed genocide - and that Britain has a duty to prevent genocide.
