Let’s take a minute and appreciate all the techs that make campaigning in weird places possible! Middle of a field and you want a mic? Okay!

people are complaining a theatre company is raising ticket prices when they know there is demand? It's like they're running a business.

So really, is extending a call from 5 to 6 hours worth the meal break? Where you only get a half hour more of work?

If you’re putting on a show, it is never okay to not pay your suporting acts, techs, and members of production. Even if for a good cause.

"Happy to have a job" and "that's the business" are not valid reasons. Could have easily had a break half way in the shift with no impact.

Oh look meal break penalty after specifically telling them. FFS

And/or questions of loyalty or committment?

Why is it so difficult to understand that after 5 hours of work in BC a worker gets a meal break. And any discussion is met with hostility.

Quit complaining freelancer who is getting paid 25 a hour to fold drape. Sheesh.

Even if they paid 18/h for 2 hours a night for the run it would be about 400 dollars.
