The REAL attack on democracy was the Senators and Reps that voted to de-certify the election. They had no grounds, no evidence, no proof of fraud, yet they voted to de-certify because Trump lost. That is not how democracy should work, then again neither is the Electoral College.

Remember when politicians were decent people? He is a decent man. A terrible president, who has twice been rescued by Trump from being remembered as the worst ever, but a decent man.

It was the abdication and dereliction of duty that did it Besides lawmaking, Congress has OVERSIGHT of the Executive. They didn't do it. Confirming RFK, Hegseth, Blanche, Patel, Noem, Mullin? Venezuela? Iran? DOGE? Epstein? Pardons? All outrageous. That's what did it, not $6 gas.

She's nailing it.
The MAGA authoritarians manufactured an EXTINCTION-level event for themselves. They did it. On purpose. Over and over and over again. With ICE. With the corruption. With their unqualified & cruel appointees. With total arrogance and indecency all around. This is Trump's legacy we need to cement in his final two years in office. It wasn't a single policy; it's a FAILED MOVEMENT. They got all the power. Everything they wanted. And this is what America thought of it all. Midterms 2026.

This right here 👇
People will try to blame gas prices, the Iran war, the tariffs, the Reflecting Pool, or his tweets. No. It was all the authoritarian overreach that was Trump's true operating philosophy, powered by Project 2025, that led to this epic, glorious orange crush. Now we undo it and never go back.

There's a saying on American social media: "Be the American that Japanese people think you are." I'm Japanese. I've lived in Tokyo my whole life. So let me tell you what we actually say about you, when you're not in the room. "When someone falls down on the street, we pretend not to see. We're protecting their pride. Americans run straight at them. They don't care about the pride. They care about the knee." (Office worker, 38) "An American will stop four lanes of traffic for a family of ducks. And then everyone in the cars claps for the ducks." (Taxi driver, 61) "If you lend an American a pen, you will never see it again. If you need a kidney, they'll ask your blood type." (Nurse, 45) "At kids' soccer games, they cheer when the other team's kid scores. The other team's parents look confused. Then they cheer too." (Youth soccer coach, 52, lived one year in Ohio) "A man sneezed on a bus in Chicago. Eleven strangers said 'Bless you.' He said 'thank you' eleven times. Nobody on that bus thought this was strange." (University student, 21) "At an airport in Texas, I watched a soldier try to pay for his lunch. The cashier said someone already had. He asked who. She said, 'Somebody who didn't want you to know.'" (Retired teacher, 70) "American fathers cannot braid hair. But they will watch a video at midnight for an hour so their daughter's hair looks right on picture day." (Hair stylist, 33) "I ran the Chicago Marathon once. Strangers stood in the cold for hours holding signs for people they will never meet. At mile 20, a man I'd never seen read the name off my bib and screamed it like he'd raised me." (Runner, 48) "When Americans get lost, they ask a stranger. If the stranger is also lost, they become a team." (Tour guide, 39) "They ask the waitress her name. And then they remember it." (Restaurant owner, 66) And one more. From my father. He's 76. He doesn't say much about anything. This is the longest thing I have ever heard him say about another country. "Every time something terrible happens in America, I watch the news, and I look for one thing. The people running toward it. There are always so many." So, America. You don't have to become the Americans we think you are. We're not imagining you. We're remembering you.

My favorite type of person is the “I’m a giant pussy and I left my home bc I didn’t like the politics.” You know how many rednecks I’ve had to physically fight? Do you know how little I fear fkn conservatives? I moved to fkn Waco bc it’s fkn cheap. Do you kniw how little I respect a MAN who had to run away from - checks noted - west coast leftist. Son, you’re softer than baby shit. You might wanna start packing. You gon have a bitch of a time with Texas Democrats who been fightin these people our entire lives. Goddamn…, you couldn’t get me to admit I ran like a bitch if you waterboarded my ass. Sry you got bitch in your blood. Can’t relate - but here’s a pro tip. Next time you relocate, make sure that Dem turnout isn’t second only to California. Make sure that it you don’t move to the youngest, most diverse state in the country. It ain’t our fault that you’re not only soft, but stupid to boot.
I moved from Seattle to Texas 5 years ago to get away from leftists. Please Texans don't make me move again

The level of willful stupidity this argument requires is breathtaking. What happened to the paltry number of Republicans who stood up to Trump, Dan? They were driven out of the party. The guy who attacked it was renominated and is currently presiding over the most corrupt and inept presidency of our lifetime, with zero pushback from a GOP congress. Not even when he pardoned the people who attacked the Capitol that day. But sure! Put those guys back in charge. You sound insane.
The system was attacked in 2020, but the system held. The courts, the governors, the state-level election officials and Congress all played the roles they were designed to play.

If GOP legislators had a fraction of this—standing up to Trump, for the law and the country—the United States and the world would be in a much better place. Instead, they rubber-stamped the most venal, autocratic, dictator-loving presidency in US history and voters shouldn’t forget it.
Today, I sent a letter putting New Jersey’s port and terminal operators on notice: importing Russian diesel violates federal law and could carry serious civil and criminal consequences. New Jersey will not stand by while Donald Trump supports Vladimir Putin at the expense of Americans. Instead of lowering costs, these imports help finance Putin’s war against Ukraine and a campaign of violence and terror that endangers our servicemembers abroad. As a Navy veteran, I cannot let that stand unchallenged. Our ports must not be complicit.

Trump has done everything Putin has wanted him to do. In Helsinki he stood with Putin and disclaimed U.S. intelligence. He lobbied to bring Russia back into the G-7. He withheld military aid to Zelensky and pulled out of Syria to give Russia a freer hand. He questioned NATO, lifted sanctions on Deripaska-linked companies, and walked away from the INF Nuclear Treaty. He walked away from Open Skies, leaving European allies blind to what Russia was actually doing. He slowed down Starlink for Ukraine and struck a diesel fuel deal with Russia even though he could’ve gotten a better deal with Canada. How can you not see the link??

they will not "face discrimination" under the taliban, they will be executed by the taliban. trump is signing the death warrants of people who stuck their necks out to help american soldiers.
WEEKS of faux outrage that Biden left behind people who supported us in Afghanistan. Trump literally sending their family members back there will be (at best) a one day story.

Believe this horseshit at your country's peril. He's pushing fear and horseshit for all he's worth... ..and he's a fucking trillionaire.
My biggest concern is that if there is a clean sweep by Democrats of the House, Senate and Presidency in 2028, they will: 1. Make DC and Puerto Rico states to gain a strong majority in the Senate. 2. Open the borders and legalize everyone living in America illegally to cement a permanent majority. 3. Increase the size of the Supreme Court to gain an immediate majority. This would result in America becoming a permanent one-party state and the end of democracy in any meaningful sense of the word. All that is needed to ensure this doesn’t happen is 51 Republican senators in 2029. That is why you should vote for Republican senators this election. Other reasons are irrelevant compared to this one.
