Attention storm chasers! I'm working with a professor from Florida Atlantic University to study impulse control and risk perception in storm chasers when out in the field. We invite you to take the brief survey at the following link: fau.az1.qualtrics.com/jfe/fo… The goal is to study whether the same measures of low self-control that predict risky behavior in the general population also operate similarly when predicting risky chasing behaviors. The survey should take less than 15 minutes of your time. Please answer truthfully...yes, we're asking you to self-report risky behaviors you may have done when chasing, but the survey is 100% anonymous, and we're not here to judge or put anyone on blast. Instead, we hope that, through this study, we can better understand how storm chasers think about safety when out in the field and how we as a storm chasing community can better approach safety going forward.
