When discussing underwater colonization, you must know the two key zones of "grounded" habitats (i.e. habitats that are situated in the sea floor, not floating in the ocean depths, much like a big submarine).
These 2 areas are the Continental Shelf and Abyssal Plains.
Standing in line at the DMV is such a blackpill. I am surrounded by people who shouldn't be here. Want to bury my house under 2 kilometers of water and not come out 😕

Put a habitat on the seafloor and the neighbors move in. Hard structure gives sponges, corals and fish something to grow on and hide around. We want ours to be good for the reef it sits on. Which resident would you watch for? #ASC #MarineScience #UnderwaterLiving

Our first habitat is ambient-pressure with a moon pool: step from your room straight into the reef. The long-term vision is one-atmosphere habitats where anyone can stay with no decompression. Follow along. #ASC #UnderwaterHabitat #ScubaLife

Your skylight is the ocean surface. Sun ripples on the ceiling, fish crossing overhead, nowhere to be. We're starting with an ambient-pressure habitat with a moon pool, building toward one-atmosphere stays. Would you nap here? Tell us below. #ASC #UnderwaterHabitat #DiveTravel

nothing has ever even touched it sense, how did we lose this type of underwater future that Cousteau was laying the groundwork for?!?

Jacques Cousteau and his crew relaxing around a table with wine bottles and cigarettes inside the "Starfish House" underwater habitat during the 1963 Conshelf II expedition in the Red Sea...
In 1963, Jacques Cousteau launched Conshelf II, one of the most ambitious underwater living experiments ever attempted. Built in the Red Sea near Sudan, the project tested whether humans could live and work beneath the ocean for extended periods without constantly returning to the surface.
The underwater habitat sat roughly 30 feet below sea level, while deeper research stations extended even farther down.
The men inside became known as “oceanauts.” They spent weeks underwater eating, sleeping, smoking, drinking wine, conducting experiments, and exploring the seabed using early diving technology and small submersibles.
Cousteau believed underwater habitats could eventually become as important as space stations, with permanent human communities one day living beneath the sea.
Conshelf II included a tiny underwater “garage” for Cousteau’s diving saucer submarine, and one crew member even kept a pet parrotfish inside the habitat for companionship during the mission.

This is breathtaking. There's a three-dimensional world thousands of times bigger than all the land mass ready for colonization

Can people really live underwater? Yes, with the right design. Crews have lived in pressurized habitats for days or weeks at a time, and ASC designs and builds habitats around that idea.

New law: no mortgages in Aquatica. Homes will be cheap enough that you will never be held hostage to housing. No usury or debt based business either. If you try, you go to a penal colony in the Mariana Trench

This may be the most pathetic parenting advice I've ever heard.
New parents, please just read to them yourself. Your baby doesn't just listen. He/she picks up on your tone, your body language, eye contact. They don't need a machine teaching them. They need you!

Not that I want robots that can beat me up, but like if robot vs human matches are something you wanna see, build a big floating platform in international waters and stream out PPV via Starlink
🇺🇸BREAKING: California orders robotics startup REK to stop all “Unsanctioned Human vs. Humanoid Robot Cage Fights."
REK’s humanoid fighting league received a cease-and-desist order following its recent human vs. robot bout, per REK CEO.
The action could mark one of the first state regulatory interventions targeting humanoid robot fighting.
I heard the land dwellers botched another lethal injection execution last night. You know what you can't botch?
A drowning.
Aquatica would be the safest place on earth because of its culture. But crime exists and capital punishment would be a thing. Here's how to do it.

For midst capital punishment cases, it's heinous murders. Their victims final moments were all pain and fear. Why should the condemned be at peace in their last moments? They shouldn't. They should experience that same desire to live that their victims had.
They will hold their breath. They will try to stay alive as long as possible. That's their right as a living thing. But sooner or later, they will let in the water and they will die. It only costs the money to build the chamber and some energy to pump the water in. No cost really
