@ArrayLabs has been awarded a $4.47 million contract by the @USArmy DEVCOM to develop radar satellite clusters for 3D imaging.
Radar satellite clusters give operators a 3D view of their environment, through cloud cover, day or night, supporting decision makers in critical sectors like military operations, disaster response, infrastructure monitoring, and autonomy.

Array Labs is a @ycombinator company. Today we're back with the YC community in Washington, DC for "The Startup Industrial Base: Building for the Next 250."
@andrewpetrsonn will be speaking at 1:50 PM ET.
A team from Array Labs will be at @SmallSat in Salt Lake City, August 23-26. If you're attending and want to connect, reach out.
We're proud to share that Array Labs has been awarded a contract extension from the U.S. Navy's Office of Naval Research (ONR) to continue our study of space-based AMTI (Airborne Moving Target Indication) concepts.

Array Labs just raised $21 million anchored by @ME_JP_official, one of Japan's largest defense and aerospace companies, with continued participation from Catapult Ventures, Kompas VC, and @ycombinator.
Array and Mitsubishi Electric are partnering to bring satellite-based aircraft tracking capabilities to defense and security customers across the Asia-Pacific market. The partnership pairs Array's transformative approach with Mitsubishi Electric's satellite development capabilities, manufacturing infrastructure, and established government relationships in the region.
Today we're announcing that DARPA has extended its contract with Array Labs:
- adding new scope
- going deeper on distributed radar
- pushing into advanced operating modes
We're grateful to continue partnering with @DARPA, in pursuit of capabilities that can only exist when you have multiple radar satellites working as one system
Onwards & Upwards! 🌎👀🛰️🛰️🛰️🛰️
Good morning! We're proud to share that we've been working with the U.S. Navy to study and advance space-based AMTI concepts.
The Office of Naval Research (@USNavyResearch) recently selected Array Labs to evaluate how distributed radar systems can support wide-area AMTI missions.
AMTI, short for Airborne Moving Target Indication, refers to the detection & tracking of moving airborne objects, such as aircraft or drones.
Low-cost, pervasive space-based AMTI is a top S&T priority for ONR: moving this capability to orbit will provide global, resilient coverage, while reducing reliance on manned radar aircraft.
This partnership comes as a critical time, as AMTI is a growing area of emphasis within wider U.S. strategic planning efforts. Congress has supported this direction with dedicated funding for exploratory work and capability development through the end of the decade.
We are honored to be working alongside ONR on this most important mission.
Onwards!!!
Space doesn't hand out do-overs. If you want a constellation that performs under pressure and scales with your ambition, you have to engineer for chaos from day one.
At Array, this starts in simulation: pulling apart every assumption, parameter, and tradeoff, to get imaging performance, system robustness, and data delivery right in the real world.
Today, we're announcing a contract with @DARPA to advance this work even further: rigorously modeling and validating the real-world dynamics of our distributed radar system. This work will refine how we configure and scale our constellation, and shape how our clusters collect, communicate, and adapt over time.
More soon. Onward!
We are partnering with @Maxar to provide rapid updates to their global terrain and 3D datasets.
✅ Dedicated capacity aboard our first cluster
✅ Pairs high-res 3D from EO + radar-derived 3D
✅ Data integrated across Maxar's 3D product line
