Itβs funny how people love watching a flawed fictional character learn and grow from their mistakes but also categorically refuse to apply that same logic to actual people

It's nice when other directors or people from other studios support competing films out of pure solidarity.
Not like the internet idiots who create imaginary wars.

What bothers me is that they used the Resident Evil name, logo, and Raccoon City to attract fans, only to deliver something that barely resembles the games.
If Cregger wanted to tell his own story, that's fine, but then why use a franchise people already have expectations for?
You can't borrow everything that makes a name recognizable and then get frustrated when fans expect an actual Resident Evil movie.
The reviews and box office success don't change that. Fans aren't wrong for wanting what they were promised.
Zach Cregger says he was frustrated that the conversation surrounding his βRESIDENT EVILβ film had nothing to do with the film.
βIt had to do with whether the movie was living up to the different standards that different fans of the games hadβ¦ it was just a lot about βwhy isnβt this like the source material?β OR βwhy is it good that itβs not like the source material?β

Took me 3-4 weeks to animate this. Mike did a great job recreating the camera and table break haha. I forgot SCM was holding his suction cups and had to add those in the final week. Will be posting a BTS video soon of that
