Mandatory Hourly Live-Streaming of Voter Turnout should happen.
Presiding Officers must electronically transmit actual voter turnout data every single hour on election day. This data will stream continuously on an open public portal, mathematically eliminating the classic fraud of injecting 'ghost voters' after polls close. @kattoloo @UGMParty @dkmaraga
It's Not about shinny things but our software. Fix the software b4 you purpote to build shiny things that benefits mostly the few connected contractors and suppliers.
Kenyan taxpayers lost billions compensating Adani after the cancellation of its energy deal, with estimates ranging from KSh 5 billion to KSh 7.3 billion.
Then, another KSh 7.31 billion was reportedly paid to the French over a separate cancelled energy arrangement.
It appears someone has discovered a business model where you can make money without delivering anything.
Sign questionable deals, ignore public opposition, wait for the deal to collapse, then demand compensation. The public loses either way. If the deal proceeds, Kenyans bear the cost. If it is cancelled, taxpayers are still left paying the bill.
And the question Kenyans must ask is whether some of these deals are designed to benefit the public or to create opportunities for private enrichment, including alleged kickbacks to politically connected individuals.
Now, taxpayers could face a potential KSh 181 billion bill if the government terminates the 30-year Rironi–Mau Summit highway concession.
At this rate, the real business is not building infrastructure. It is signing contracts, cancelling them and making Kenyans pay for the consequences.
The money belongs to the people. Why should the people keep paying for decisions they never approved?

I have really struggled to make sense of what this rogue government is doing with the Elections Amendment Bill—and the explanations coming out of Parliament and govt including kasongo himself, hardly inspire confidence.
The attached images trace the confusion around section 39: a proposal to replace the entire section, a committee proposal to delete selected provisions, and finally the National Assembly’s decision to drop the amendment clause altogether. Add the court decisions affecting the existing wording, and “we have retained the law” becomes an explanation that raises further questions.
Kenyans should not need a law degree and a forensic reading of parliamentary records to understand the rules governing their elections. Parliament owes the public a clear account of what was proposed, what was dropped, what remains legally effective, and what this means for access to election results.
This is the supposedly august House. Electoral reform demands precision, transparency and public trust. What we are getting is confusion galore.

Too much noise about Election Laws. To live-stream or not?
See below an explainer 🧵 and be the judge.
Section 39 1(G) provides for, “a mechanism for the live-streaming of results as announced at polling stations…”

Jambo @SakajaJohnson, the tractors that were sent to Embakasi East especially around Fedha have sold all the diesel to matatus and those with generators. So tomorrow when they come for more diesel kindly find out what they did with what was issued to them today. They are packed and waiting to empty the remaining diesel before going for more.
Do such laws live and operate in Kenya? Thought laws are a living thing based on the environment they operate. Now what's this!
Pay your domestic worker Ksh 4,000 at your own risk!
Lady Justice Jemimah Kelly: Domestic workers are workers, and their minimum pay should be KSh 18,000, with one day off every week and an annual leave of 21 days.
