A statement from President Donald J. Trump and Vice President-Elect JD Vance:
The most foolish and inept thing ever done by Congressional Republicans was allowing our country to hit the debt ceiling in 2025. It was a mistake and is now something that must be addressed.
Meanwhile, Congress is considering a spending bill that would give sweetheart provisions for government censors and for Liz Cheney. The bill would make it easier to hide the records of the corrupt January 6 committee—which accomplished nothing for the American people and hid security failures that happened that day. This bill would also give Congress a pay increase while many Americans are struggling this Christmas.
Increasing the debt ceiling is not great but we’d rather do it on Biden’s watch. If Democrats won’t cooperate on the debt ceiling now, what makes anyone think they would do it in June during our administration? Let’s have this debate now. And we should pass a streamlined spending bill that doesn’t give Chuck Schumer and the Democrats everything they want.
Republicans want to support our farmers, pay for disaster relief, and set our country up for success in 2025. The only way to do that is with a temporary funding bill WITHOUT DEMOCRAT GIVEAWAYS combined with an increase in the debt ceiling. Anything else is a betrayal of our country.
Republicans must GET SMART and TOUGH. If Democrats threaten to shut down the government unless we give them everything they want, then CALL THEIR BLUFF. It is Schumer and Biden who are holding up aid to our farmers and disaster relief.
THIS CHAOS WOULD NOT BE HAPPENING IF WE HAD A REAL PRESIDENT. WE WILL IN 32 DAYS!

They claim to love progress, but despise the guy building rocket ships and robots, both of which are necessary for a physical utopia.
They claim to love freedom, but constantly say he’s a threat for openly allowing us all to speak on one stage.
They claim to love equality and inclusion, but a South African finds self earned success? They’re out.
They claim to love law and order, but have now moved him to enemy number two for starting a Super PAC that supports common sense spending, then law and order.

It’s 3 am here in Western North Carolina, and I’m just turning in for the night.
Today was EYE OPENING.
We’ve already delivered multiple Starlinks to several emergency centers across the region who had been TOTALLY offline prior to our arrival.
The fact that there are still fire stations and first responders TOTALLY DISCONNECTED from colleagues in the same county is INSANE. We’re rapidly fixing that.
In addition, we distributed over $2,000 worth of @WaffleHouse meals to hundreds of victims and first responders. One man we found in the mountains near Riceville was attempting to fill up water jugs so he could flush his toilet, and his face lit up when I offered him fresh hot Waffle House 🙂
The stories I’ve heard are just incredible. And the joy we’re bringing keeps me going.
I can’t thank NC State Police enough for giving us a full police escort through all these remote towns ravaged by Hurricane Helene. These troopers are absolute heroes.
@ChrisHallWx has been an INCREDIBLE partner through this mission. I couldn’t ask for anyone better.
And lastly, thank you @elonmusk for this absolutely mind blowing technology that has saved countless lives out here.

NEW: Former CDC Director Robert Redfield endorses Donald Trump, admits to Robert F. Kennedy Jr. he "got everything right."
RFK Jr. explained how he was appalled to find out that Redfield, who he was extremely critical of, was endorsing Trump.
"Robert Redfield, who I really go after in my Fauci book, wrote an editorial in Newsweek magazine today saying that he was endorsing President Trump because President Trump was gonna restore American health."
Redfield said: "He has chosen exactly the only person who can do this, Robert F. Kennedy Jr."
"This was breathtaking to me because this is the guy who's the head of the CDC that I've been criticizing for years, and then this afternoon he came over and had lunch with me."
