Let me please add that the action must intensify during the next less than five years or else there won‘t be an option left for mankind to return to lower temperatures within the next millennia. Changes have to be made now! Or else the permafrost will melt and by thus emissions of methane will rise and global warming will become unstoppable for humans and will rise up to about 14 °C above the reference temperature. Only a few hundred million people would survive that and for most of us that would mean that our children, grandchildren and whole family lines wouldn’t survive, as most animals and plants wouldn’t either. It’s within the next few years or we can only try to slow down and unstoppable disaster that will wipe all human cultures and all natural beauty from this earth.

Humanity is speeding towards a climate catastrophe. That’s the stark warning from the latest @UNEP report. Every fraction of a degree of warming will cost lives, deepen inequalities & push ecosystems closer to irreversible damage. We must raise ambition, accelerate #ClimateAction & fight for humanity. NOW. unep.org/resources/limiting-…

Prime Minister Anwar,Thank you for saying the right things at yesterday’s PKR convention. I only wish you would apply them to public policy. You say all the right things to the right audience, yet your government’s policies do not reflect those words. Perhaps I am not the right person to point this out. Why not ask the Malaysian Indians, OA and the natives of Sabah and Sarawak whether they are receiving their fair share of Malaysia’s wealth? #AnwarIbrahim #forkedtongue #keadilan #Dayak #KDM #Momogun #MalaysianIndian #OrangAsli

Buddhist monks from the Sakyamuni Cave Monastery in Tambun have appealed to PM Anwar Ibrahim to save the century-old place of worship from demolition. They urged Putrajaya to declare the monastery and surrounding hillside at Gunung Kanthan a national heritage site. 🧵1

DUN Jelai: Malaysia’s upcoming (first) Orang Asli-majority DUN? Yesterday was International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples. Today, let’s look at the Orang Asli of Peninsular Malaysia. Our recent study of Cameron Highlands’ two DUNs, Tanah Rata and Jelai, points to an interesting demographic shift. Historically, Jelai was a high-Malay-majority seat, with Orang Asli voters concentrated largely in the interior. But Undi18 and Automatic Voter Registration (AVR) changed the electoral landscape significantly. By 2025, Orang Asli voters command around 31% of Cameron Highlands voters. This is higher than Malays (30.7%), Chinese (26.3%) and Indians (11.2%). 2025 was indeed a milestone for Orang Asli presence. The shift is even more pronounced in Jelai, traditionally a BN stronghold. Uneven population growth and the expansion of the electoral roll have brought Orang Asli voters increasingly close to becoming the majority. Could Jelai be on track to become Malaysia’s first Orang Asli-majority constituency in the next few years? What do you think? Share your views, and please keep the discussion respectful.

With the ROAD act, HUD now has a statutory basis to publish: FHA-compliant point-access templates. Accessibility diagrams for 8-, 12-, 18-, and 24-unit buildings. DBKL will overhaul its governance by moving away from a mayor-centric decision-making model after scoring just 0.08% out of the allocated 5% in last year's Public Service Corruption Ranking. The reforms include capping the mayor's authority to approve contributions at RM3,000 and removing the mayor as chair of the Audit Committee, said FT Minister Hannah Yeoh. 🧵1

Midtown-centric planning treats the East River as the edge of the region. It is not. As I illustrate below, Penn Station is the western gateway to Long Island, the Bronx, Westchester, Connecticut, and a chain of regional centers extending far beyond Manhattan. Through-running would connect these places as part of an all-day regional rail network, expanding access to jobs, housing, universities, airports, and major institutions while allowing centers such as Long Island City, Jamaica, Stamford, and New Haven to realize more of their economic potential. London, Paris, and Berlin already understand the value of connecting regional rail through the urban core. Greater New York cannot remain the exception. @RethinkNYCplan’s latest analysis explains why this is, as Andy Byford has called it, a “golden opportunity” for New York.
