Girls read books with boy protagonists all the time. If men and boys can't read books with a girl protagonist, could it be because they think girls are lesser than boys? And therefore the problem isn't the girls in the books, it's their own fucked up thought process.

It's kind of very eye opening that when people say otome games should be inclusive to gay people it's always "make the protagonist a man" and never add female love interests. Like I agree I want gay relationships in otome actually, just without removing the female protagonist.
