I'm realizing now that despite all of what I know regarding the American revolution, I have never sat down and studied the finer details; Including the thoughts of those outside the conflict! I can feel the judgement of my forefathers...
About the ongoing revolution in America, Swedish King Gustav III writes: “It is such an interesting drama to see a nation create itself, that I, if I now had not been who I am, would go to America to follow up close every phase in the emergence of this new republic. This is perhaps America’s century. This new republic […] may perhaps take advantage of Europe some day, in the same manner as Europe has taken advantage of Europe for two centuries.”

Good advice and I just took it. Now let's see if my old friend responds to my text...
You should not be afraid to seek out friends with whom you have lost touch. This is doubly true for men. You would be surprised at how eager and willing people are to reconnect with you even after decades.

This kind of insane overreaction in regards to food from the French is what led to @BurgerKing taking the croissant and making it into the croissan'wich. The King out here standing on the business of pure spite!

According to official government documentation? Not very well. Somewhere, there exists my elementary school report cards with a box reserved for "Receives Constructive Criticism". And there, in those boxes, repeated use of the letter "U" for "Unsatisfactory!!!"

This kind of engagement bait is why I have so many mutuals and don't follow many big accounts. I know that as a nobody with no personal history with them, these accounts won't answer. Which is understandable but unfortunate since I would happily chat about my favorite birds.
guys!! what is your favorite bird?

Some days the internet gives the biggest blackpills and you just want the meteor to end it all... Then there are Mutuals who make it hard to not be whitepilled. Thank you to all of you who keep that positivity flowing!
Life lesson of the day my friends and always remember to stay humble kind and true to oneself no matter how dark the world gets you will always have a light within you 😁🙏

I can say that without Elon's purchase of this site, I wouldn't be on here. I wouldn't be working on building anything. I wouldn't be having the fun I'm having with y'all. Thank you @elonmusk, for fixing this place. By the way, while I have your attention, could you #FreeStanky?
Four years ago Elon Musk purchased Twitter and made it into the X we have now. I have been online since 1979 and there is no better place than X. This is my home and I have an immense amount of gratitude for the people that build it and the people that have made it their home. Thank you @elonmusk deep gratitude. And it sinked in…

Some days the internet gives the biggest whitepills. Then there are days where it's hard to not be blackpilled about it all...
I've just learnt, while the boys are reading Malfoid rn, the girls were reading fanfic about Draco graping a mindwiped Hermione in a Handmaid's Tale repopulation program and it was republished as a legally distinct dark romantasy called "Alchemised" that sold over a mil last year

For those who missed it, or didn't open the full post, I made an announcement inside: "Thus, on the one year anniversary since the formal start of this account (Nov 7), I will begin the start of serious content creation and streaming." I've got a busy <2 weeks ahead of me!
Sometimes the weirdest things can be what motivate us. For example: In my area we have a thing called Coffee News. A free weekly little publication that can be found at restaurants around the region. It has ads for local businesses, cute stories from around the world, and even a horoscope. In this week's edition, my horoscope was giving me a kick in the pants to get started instead of just talking about setting goals. I figured, why not take it's advice? I've been talking about goals both personal and public for a long time! Thus, on the one year anniversary since the formal start of this account (Nov 7), I will begin the start of serious content creation and streaming. Will people like it? Will I have any idea what I'm doing? Will my Internet connection fail me? I don't know...🤷 But finding out is better than just sitting doing nothing!

Something has been bothering me lately. After seeing the results of the Malfoid trend it seems to me that we're allowing a double standard. On the one hand, we had Malfoid, an ideal representation of a young man's yearning for love and acceptance of a good woman. When "slutbloods" tried to piggyback on the trend, they were rightly called out because we were rejecting the depravity of the modern age. In the past, girls who made videos or streamed in clothing showing off their bodies were derided as "tit-streamers" or "e-thots". My question becomes, if we recognize the problem with slutbloods/tit-streamers/e-thots when it's a real life girl, why are we letting it slide in our vtubers/avatars? It seems to me that despite how "based" some of these women are with their words, they are still leading the young astray with their looks. I feel we should expect better if we want the world to be better.

#UnravelingMysteriesMonday #UMM Why can't we remember being a baby? For today's themed post we're going to be exploring the idea that the brain structure itself is the culprit! What if the reason we don't remember wasn't a software problem but instead a hardware incompatibility?
This paper answers why can’t you remember being a baby? For over a century, science said you can't remember being a baby because your infant brain was just too "immature" to record anything. researchers assumed your hard drive was basically turned off for the first two years of life. But this wild paper from Yale completely rewrites how we understand human memory.. Researchers literally put awake babies (between 4 and 25 months old) into an fMRI scanner to watch their brains process new visual experiences in real-time. and what they found is mindblowing.. the infant hippocampus isn't turned off at all. it is actively firing, capturing, and encoding episodic memories. they proved that babies with higher hippocampal activity during a new experience formed a highly stable memory trace. the babies are recording the data. the memory of your first birthday, your first steps, the exact layout of the room you slept in.. it was all successfully saved to your brain. so why can't you remember it? the paper concludes that infantile amnesia isn't an "encoding" problem.. it is a "retrieval" problem. your brain recorded everything perfectly. but as you grew, your brain underwent massive developmental shifts, like explosive neurogenesis (the rapid birth of new neurons), which completely restructured your neural networks. the pathways to access those early files got buried or locked away. you didn't fail to make the memories.. you just lost the encryption key to open them. somewhere deep in your hippocampus, the exact first-person memory of being a 1-year-old might still be sitting there. you just can't access the file anymore.. the human brain is terrifyingly beautiful.

Today, October 26, is National Pumpkin Day. It is also considered by many the ideal day to carve those jack-o'-lanterns for Halloween!

This is such a cute little guy! An amazing picture here. Bats are amazing and deserve all the love!
Let's hear it for the night shift! It's Bat Week, and these winged wonders deserve some love. Bats devour insects, pollinate plants, spread seeds and provide natural pest control. They may have a spooky reputation, but they're essential to healthy ecosystems.

The moon, as it was just coming up over the trees, was such a beautiful sight. My wife saw it first and immediately called for me to join her. Truly magnificent the world God has given us...
Hunter’s Moon The corn is down. The fields lie bare. The moon climbs white above the mill. The stubble holds the silver where the dark once gathered on the hill. No leaf conceals the orchard wall. No standing stalk obscures the lane. The pears that no one came to haul lie bruised beneath the fallen rain. A doe stands listening by the creek, one hoof suspended in the cold. The moon lies white along her cheek; the wire shines on the broken fold. She knows the field by root and stone, the narrow place to cross the stream. Tonight she stands beside it, shown as plainly as a thing in dream. Then through the thorn she slips from sight. The branches tremble where she goes. The field lies empty in the light. Beyond the mill, a window glows.

This is the kind of wholesome that makes it worth being online with all the horrors!
I saw a little girl dressed up as a bee keeper at trunk or treat AND SHE HAD HER GUINEA PIG IN A TINY PORTABLE CAGE AND IT WAS WEARING A BEE COSTUME.
