According to @VTMNIEUWS:
“Elections in Israel: 7.5 million Palestinians have no vote.”
That’s like reporting:
“Elections in Belgium: 18 million Dutch people have no vote”
I explained it in Flemish (English subtitles)
What kind of misleading headline is this, @VTMNIEUWS?
VTM’s headline claims that “7.5 million Palestinians have no vote” in its coverage of Israel’s elections.
Who exactly is included in that figure?
If it includes 2 million Israeli Arab citizens, the claim is wrong. They have the same voting rights as other Israeli citizens, run for office and serve in the Knesset.
If it includes 5 million Palestinians living in the West Bank and Gaza, they generally do not hold Israeli citizenship and therefore do not vote in Israeli national elections. Combining these populations under one sweeping headline misleads viewers.
A reminder: the last Palestinian parliamentary elections were in 2006. President Mahmoud Abbas has now postponed the November 2026 elections until September 2027, despite commitments to international partners. His promise to hold elections was among the commitments underpinning France’s recognition of a Palestinian state.
Recognition went ahead. The elections did not.
A report about democracy should begin by getting the electorate right.

Whether Benjamin Netanyahu is re-elected or someone else is Prime Minister, the enemies and detractors of Israel will still hate the country anyway. Their issue is not who leads the Jewish state, but the very existence of a Jewish state itself.

Iran’s links to the anti-Israel protest movement are hardly surprising, and this report highlights just how dangerous they are.
The Telegraph reveals that a leading activist had contact with individuals later sanctioned over ties to Iran.
The question is no longer just who is leading these protests, but who may be manipulating them behind the scenes.
The leader of an activist group behind pro-Palestine protests in the UK met with two individuals later sanctioned over their links to Iran, The Telegraph can reveal.
In 2014, Medea Benjamin, the co-founder of anti-war organisation Code Pink, was in contact with men later identified by US officials as facilitators for the Islamic Republic’s foreign intelligence⤵️

Every Israeli going to vote tomorrow is living the Zionist dream - a free people in our ancient homeland (the Land of Israel), determining our own fate. Regardless of party preference, celebrate the moment.
