In Kashmirs new political dictionary, anyone who disagrees with the Grand Old Party is automatically a BJP supporter.
Brilliant!
Apparently, independent thinking has been abolished.

We hold nothing against those who think politics is about lies, deception and pity gains. For us, politics is worship, a means to serve our people. Perhaps all they have witnessed is the deceit of liars and the cruelty of butchers. We are here to redefine politics, and we understand why they struggle to see it differently. Power means nothing to us if it cannot serve the deprived, the wronged and the voiceless.

I still remember when you stood against CM on injustice reservation
Your courage & principles have always inspired us
Today, your decision once again show that you value your promises more than political positions
Respected @RuhullahMehdi
You stood by your words & we stand by you
And I will sit with all of you outside the office or the residence of HCM.
I have neither forgotten nor backtracked on the issue of Rationalisation of Reservation. Away from the X (Twitter) I have talked with HCM twice and multiple times with other colleagues about this issue. I am told that there is some confusion about the distribution of the rules of business on many issues between the elected government and the other undemocratically imposed office and this subject is one among them. I am assured that the government will take a decision to rationalise the policy soon.
While I respect the institution of the elected government and their right to make decisions. And I think it is fair and logical to give them some time to find a solution. I, at the same time, understand the urgency of the matter.
Therefore, I would request all of you to wait till I attend the Parliament session which starts from 25th Nov and concludes on 22nd Dec. If the decision is not taken till then, I will sit with all of you outside the residence or the office of the Chief Minister.

Today one positive development is that even members of the grand old party have finally begun acknowledging the injustice, choob choob and institutionalised persecution that took place during their own tenure in power. But this admission must not remain confined to ordinary party workers or selected individuals.
The leadership must also summon the moral courage to acknowledge its own culpability.
What transpired under their watch was nothing short of a monumental betrayal of public trust, a disgraceful abdication of democratic responsibility and an unforgivable chapter of political repression and human suffering.
You cannot conveniently distance yourselves from the atrocities, injustices and humiliation inflicted upon people when you were in positions of authority.
History cannot be rewritten to accommodate political convenience, nor can accountability be selectively exercised. Those who presided over injustice cannot now masquerade as its innocent spectators.
An honest acknowledgement of wrongdoing, an unconditional apology and genuine accountability are the bare minimum. The people deserve truth, not another carefully orchestrated exercise in political amnesia.

Is November going to become the political circus of the century in Kashmir Valley?
The drama has only begun, the players are still positioning themselves, and the plot seems to be getting thicker by the day.
More twists, more surprises and more political developments are on the way. Ma basan this November is far from over politically!
Keep watching.
The real show may still be waiting behind the curtains! 🍿

What a shameless statement. You have more anger for a man holding you to your promises than for those who stripped Jammu and Kashmir of its rights. Your courage appears only when the questions are directed at you.
The Qur'an was first invoked by your President, we responded to it - you are enraged now because Aga sb’s response has exposed you in his response.
You are fighting with the wrong man, sonny boy.
You call Aga Sb morally bankrupt. He has given up his seat. You have given up your commitments to keep yours. Spare us the lecture.
And spare us the claim that he remembered 2010 only today. He was part of that government. He owes answers for that, and leaving the party does not erase that responsibility. He has acknowledged it. Where is the same acknowledgment from the man who was Chief Minister?
You ask what he has done for Article 370. Have you listened to his speeches, or does your research begin and end with whatever flatters the crown prince?
Your statement demands answers about Parliament. Fine. Those questions can be answered from the record. Now answer the question you keep dodging: why did you ask people to vote for the restoration of Article 370 if your answer after winning was that those who took it away would not return it?
The BJP was in power when you wrote the manifesto. You knew exactly whom you would be dealing with. What changed after the election, apart from your access to office?
On reservation, you have the audacity to ask where his protest was. He stood with students outside the Chief Minister’s residence in December 2024. You remember it perfectly well. You have been attacking him for it ever since.
You promised to correct the injustice. Now you want applause for a committee and sympathy for a stalled file. Publish the decision. Publish the dates. Tell the students exactly what was proposed, when it was submitted and what remains blocked.
They deserve an answer, not another statement attacking the man standing beside them.
And this talk of “deft politics.” Is that what you call arriving with shawls for Delhi while carrying a mandate built on restoring our rights? Is that what the speeches about clear skies were supposed to achieve?
You are offended by his language. Where was this outrage when your own election promises became inconvenient?
Stop telling people that he owes his political existence to you. The votes belonged to the people. The seats belonged to the people. You did not confer a favour on Kashmir by allowing its people to elect their representatives.
That is the arrogance at the heart of this statement. You think public office is your inheritance and anyone who questions you is an ungrateful subject.
Today, he returned the seat you kept throwing in his face.
As for the narcissist, your British boy should not worry. Tell him to keep his passports ready. We will fund a first-class ticket back to London.
Get running, sonny boy. It is so done, bro.
Stay rattled.
Aga Ruhullah’s speech was a manifestation of his mental and moral bankruptcy, and an example of his self-obsession. While invoking the holy Quran and the divine message of dignity and respect for human beings, Ruhullah’s speech was full of derogatory, abusive and unparliamentary language against NC leadership. The language used by him only reflects who he is!
Since Aga Ruhullah has chosen to use the issue of special status and reservation to resign from NC, it’s important to keep the record straight. He only remembered to resign when he was told to by the party president. The same way he only remembered 2010 today when it suited him. He is a man who happily remained in office as a minister in 2010 until he was removed in a general reshuffle. He was happy to fight elections in 2014 on JKNC ticket and didn’t remember 2010 then. In fact he conveniently forgot all about it until 2026, 16 years later.
1: Wasn’t Aga Ruhullah the first to welcome the resolution demanding restoration of special status, passed by the J&K Assembly on November 6. Didn’t he say that it was the promise that had been delivered?
What has Aga Ruhullah done in Parliament on special status. Wasn’t he elected to the parliament to represent the sentiment of people and garner support of secular parties and MPs in the parliament.
Aga Ruhullah Mehdi was able to gather signatures of over 100 MPs from different parties in the parliament to move an impeachment motion against Allahabad High Court judge Shekar Kumar Yadav.
Can he tell us if he ever made such an effort to gather signatures of MPs for the restoration of special status or statehood?
Did he even try to move a resolution or bill in the parliament in this regard?
Aga Ruhullah Mehdi was sent to parliament to speak about the dispossession and how people’s will represented by the elected government has been undermined and belittled by the central government and its appointed Lt Governor in an attempt to delegitimise the vote and elected government. Did he speak even once - that even under the current UT arrangement, the departments which are technically under elected government are not allowed to function and LG continues to run them through remote control?
Aga Ruhullah Mehdi started his opposition to elected government on the issue of reservation in jobs, a grave injustice to the open merit category.
It’s indeed a grave injustice committed during LGs rule. NC raised this issue made it an important part of its election manifesto and promised to change it.
Ironically, Aga and his ilk chose to blame the whistleblower for the problem.
Did he ever utter a single word against LG and central government for snatching jobs of open merit category?
In accordance with its election promise, NC government formed a cabinet sub-committee and made first significant changes in the reservations. The file has been stalled by the powers that be. Did Mr Mehdi, raise this issue in the parliament and ask the centre why they have stalled the J&K cabinet decision on Reservation in jobs?
Aga sb was elected as MP six months before Assembly elections and formation of elected government in J&K. Did he organise a single protest against the LG and demanded justice for open merit?
Did he raise the issue of multiple fraud recruitments and exams and how job aspirants of one region were systematically removed from the system and jobs?
While the NC government knows its limitations given the present scheme of things, it has carefully chosen its roadmap on the issues which are directly linked to our existence and identity.
