FOUR MEN RELEASED AFTER MORE THAN FOUR YEARS IN DSS DETENTION: WHO ACCOUNTS FOR THE YEARS THEY LOST? Today, I welcome the reported release of four men who have been held by Nigeria's Department of State Services (DSS) since May 2022 over allegations of involvement with the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). The men, Emele Uduma Ibe, Berefgagha Appah, Ondokeyilemi Aggry and Oyeinmokebebeton Aggry, have reportedly been cleared of the allegations following a review of their cases. The DSS Director-General, Oluwatosin Adeola Ajayi, has also approved an initial ₦20 million compensation package, amounting to ₦5 million for each man. Their release is welcome. Yet it also raises serious human-rights questions that cannot be ignored. For more than four years, these men were deprived of their liberty. Their families endured their absence, their livelihoods may have been shattered, and irreplaceable years of their lives were lost. No financial compensation can fully restore what was taken from them. The obvious questions remain: Why were they detained for so long? Were they promptly brought before a competent court? What legal authority sustained their continued detention? Why did an investigation that ultimately cleared them take more than four years to reach that conclusion? Section 35 of Nigeria's Constitution guarantees personal liberty and provides remedies for unlawful arrest and detention, including compensation and a public apology. I equally welcome the reported review of other inherited detention cases by the DSS. However, this development should mark the beginning of a wider and more transparent examination of security-related detentions across Nigeria, including those involving IPOB and the question of Biafran self-determination. My thoughts are also with the men and women reportedly held in facilities such as 'Wawa Barracks' and 'Giwa Barracks' , and with the families who continue searching for answers, justice and accountability. Their individual cases deserve proper legal scrutiny, not assumptions of guilt or innocence based solely on political affiliation. The principle is simple: every person accused of an offence is entitled to due process. Detention must always be justified in accordance with the law. Where evidence exists, authorities should prosecute through the courts. Where lawful grounds for detention no longer exist, individuals should be released without delay. I congratulate these four men on regaining their freedom, and I hope the promised medical, psychological and reintegration support is fully delivered. Their release should also force a broader national conversation about prolonged detention and its human cost, particularly for families whose loved ones remain in custody without timely resolution of their cases. Our humanity must never depend on whether we agree with another person's political beliefs. The proposed training will focus on counter-insurgency, intelligence-led operations and tackling terrorism, kidnapping, arms trafficking and other security threats, particularly in rural and forested areas.(Biafraland) The programme is expected to cover tactical operations, cybercrime, digital forensics, explosives detection, financial investigations, asset tracing and anti-extortion techniques. It will also include leadership courses for senior officers and junior commanders. DOS DISOWNS FOUR ARRESTED SUSPECTS, DECLARES THEY ARE NOT IPOB MEMBERS By Anyi Kings The Biafra Post | November 3, 2026 The Directorate of State (DOS) of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), under the leadership of Mazi Chukwukadibia Edoziem, has publicly dissociated the organisation from four individuals recently arrested and arraigned in court, declaring that they have never been members of IPOB or any of its formations worldwide. In a public clarification dated October 2, 2026, and signed by Dr C. Okadigbo, DOS Press Secretary, the organisation identified the individuals as Michael Okafor, Chinedu Joseph Chukwudozie, alias Kante, Chibunna Olisa, and Chigozie Olisa, alias Ability. The DOS described media reports linking the arrested individuals to IPOB as false, malicious and a calculated attempt to associate the movement with criminality. According to the statement, the four individuals are unknown to the organisation and have never belonged to any IPOB or Eastern Security Network (ESN) family unit or formation anywhere in the world. The Directorate further maintained that IPOB operates a strict membership structure, insisting that its members are disciplined and non-violent, and that the organisation does not harbour criminals. The statement also accused Nigerian security agencies of repeatedly attempting to associate criminals, cultists and even their alleged agents with IPOB/ESN to damage the movement's reputation before the courts and the international community. Challenging the Nigeria Police and the Department of State Services (DSS), the DOS demanded that they produce credible evidence, including membership registration, meeting attendance records or other authentic documentation establishing any connection between the four suspects and IPOB. The Directorate insisted that the trial of the individuals has nothing to do with IPOB and urged the general public, media organisations and the judiciary to disregard what it described as a false association. Reaffirming its position, the DOS described IPOB as a globally registered peaceful movement pursuing the self-determination of the Biafran people through lawful means. The clarification concluded with a strong declaration that the Directorate would continue to challenge attempts to associate the organisation with criminal activities and defend its institutional identity. Signed: Dr C. Okadigbo DOS Press Secretary.

MONDAY MUSINGS WHEN ANCESTRAL HOMES BECOME KILLING FIELDS: UKPATA COMMUNITY BLEEDS FROM A DEADLY INVASION BY JIHADIST FULANI HERDSMEN, AS FAMILIES WEEP OVER THEIR FALLEN LOVED ONES. It was an otherwise ordinary day in the already fear-stricken community of Ukpata, in Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area of Enugu State. But beneath the deceptive calm of the day, a deadly tragedy was unfolding. The day’s defining political spectacle was the elaborate inauguration of the State Governor’s campaign council, accompanied by an impressive list of appointees which, rather curiously, included a Catholic Bishop and other revered men of God. While political permutations and electoral calculations were receiving elaborate attention, however, the ancestral homeland of Ukpata community in Uzo Uwani LGA , Enugu state was being subjected to a horrific bloodbath. On that fateful day, heavily armed Fulani jihadist herdsmen unleashed another devastating wave of violence upon the defenceless and peace-loving people of Ukpata. Lives were lost, families shattered, and an entire community plunged into indescribable grief. The photographs emerging from the scene are deeply disturbing, and viewers are strongly advised to exercise discretion. It was on Friday, the 29th day of October 2026, that Ezechi, aged 28, became the latest victim of this bloody assault on Ukpata community. Several others sustained varying degrees of injuries, while desperate efforts are being made by the community to save the lives of those grievously wounded. Ezechi Ekenechukwu, a promising young man and breadwinner whose life was brutally cut short by the invading assailants. A family that once looked to him for hope and sustenance must now contend with the unbearable reality of his absence. There is no adequate language to console a family whose loved one has been violently snatched away in circumstances so cruel and senseless. Our hearts go out to the bereaved families and the entire Ukpata community. More troubling still, no arrests have reportedly been made, even as casualty figures continue to emerge and ominous threats of further attacks reportedly hang over the community. How many more innocent lives must be sacrificed before the protection of these vulnerable communities is treated as an emergency rather than a matter of political convenience? Perhaps Governor Peter Mbah should consider suspending the celebratory rhythm of campaign activities long enough to visit this grieving community, personally assess the devastation and demonstrate that the lives of rural Enugu residents matter just as much as the political arithmetic of the forthcoming elections. After all, what is the value of an elaborate campaign council when the very communities whose votes are being courted cannot sleep without fear of annihilation? I have consistently sounded this alarm: the longer these murderous invaders are allowed to entrench themselves in the forests and farmlands of Uzo-Uwani, the more emboldened they become. The evil day of decisively routing these criminal elements from the forests and communities they have occupied must not be postponed indefinitely. The Enugu forest guards deserve commendation for the sacrifices they continue to make under exceedingly difficult circumstances. However, their efforts must be reinforced with more sophisticated operational equipment, intelligence-driven security interventions and decisive government action. They cannot be expected to confront an increasingly emboldened and heavily armed adversary with inadequate resources. Let it be stated unequivocally: the illegal occupation of the farmlands and bushes of Ukpata cannot end through wishful thinking, political speeches or cosmetic security arrangements. Those who have made peaceful habitation impossible must be made to understand that the government will no longer tolerate their criminal occupation. There is an old saying that when the house is on fire, one does not assemble the elders to debate the colour of the flames. Ukpata is burning. Its people are mourning. Its ancestral heritage is under siege. This is no longer a matter for another committee, another promise or another campaign speech. It is a call for urgent, decisive and uncompromising action. May the souls of the departed rest in peace, and may the Almighty grant the bereaved families the fortitude to bear these irreparable losses. ENOUGH OF THE BLOODLETTING! UKPATA MUST NOT BE ABANDONED! Signed: Sir Ifeanyi Ejiofor, Esq. (KSC) Dunu-Ezeugosinachi 2 November 2026

MAZI CHINASA NWORU — MEMBER OF DOS, DEPARTMENT OF SECURITIES — THE MAN WHO SAVED ESN FROM FALLING INTO ENEMY HANDS! By Mazi Ifeanyi Nwachukwu Okorodi ONE IPOB - ONE DOS - ONE ESN headed by Mazi Chika Edoziem If DOS is the brain of IPOB, then DEPARTMENT OF SECURITIES is the heart! And that heart is guarded by MAZI CHINASA NWORU! Many people think DOS is one man. No! DOS is Directorate of State — many members! Headed by Mazi Chika Edoziem! Each member has department! Tony Nzurumike Austin Agbanyim MAZI CHINASA NWORU — DEPARTMENT OF SECURITIES — The department that controls ESN! That is why they fear him most! Because if you control securities, you control the gun, you control the forest, you control who is real ESN and who is criminal using ESN name! HOW MEMBERS OF DOS, DEPARTMENT OF SECURITIES, SAVED ESN: HE CLEANED ESN OF CRIMINALS IN ORU EAST AND ORU WEST! When some boys in Imo State started kidnapping, snatching cars, killing their own Igbo people and shouting "we are ESN", who spoke? Not the private company at 30 Sandlings Close, UK dissolved 13 Sept 2022! It was Mazi Chinasa Nworu, Member of DOS, Department of Securities! He came on Radio Biafra and said: These boys are criminals! They are not ESN! They must stop impersonating ESN and undergo oath, discipline, training! Ex spoke person of ipob,Emma Powerful confirmed it: "Chinasa Nworu specifically said that they are criminals and not working for IPOB nor ESN." If Chinasa did not do that, today Nigerian Army and Nigeria Government would have used those criminals to label entire ESN as kidnappers and destroy ESN! HE PROTECTED ESN FROM EKPERIMA HIJACK! EKPERIMA — Simon Ekpa — from Finland comfort said he is autopilot, started his own ESN camps, collecting money, ordering sit-at-home that killed Onitsha traders! Who protected original ESN? Mazi Chinasa Nworu, Members of DOS, Department of Securities! Headed by Mazi Chika Edoziem, Head of DOS, and Ejiofor, they said February 2026: IPOB has long jettisoned sit-at-home! No more killing our own economy! That is why even after Finland convicted EKPERIMA as terrorist, IPOB still has liaison office in Finland! Because international community knows difference between DOS Securities Department and Finland terrorist camp! HE REFUSED TO HAND ESN LOCATION TO ENEMIES! This is the secret they don't want you to know! As Member of DOS, Department of Securities, Chinasa Nworu holds the map, the oath, the structure of ESN! When directives came that would have exposed ESN camps, locations, boys in forest directives that would have handed ESN to Nigerian government on a platter — Chinasa and DOS refused! They said: We will not abandon our boys in detention! We will not abandon medical, legal support! We will not hand ESN to DSS! That is why Nigeria Government put Chinasa Nworu TOP ON LIST for abduction and rendition abroad in 2022 — Vanguard 5th March 2022 reported secret plot to abduct Chinasa Nworu with the helps of nnamdi Kanu and his family they hands nigerian government the location and coversations of chinasa nworu For those of you writing rubbish about Chinasa Talking rubbish if Mazi chinasa nworu is not powerful , why would Nigeria government want to abduct him? Enemy does not hunt his friend! HE KEPT ESN FUNDING CLEAN! While autopilot camps collected ransom, Chinasa as Department of Securities kept saying: Support ESN @ ipob.org transparent! Not private account of nnamdi kanu and his family that Kanunta will empties through Nnennaya! That saved ESN from being called terror conglomerate! WHY THEY BLACKMAIL HIM WITH LIES? Because as Member of DOS, Department of Securities, he is the MEMORY! He knows where nnamdi kanu went to collect money He knows where Germany nurse money went! He knows where Aba market woman money went! He knows which account in Germany was emptied!

IPOB WILL NOT FAIL THIS GENERATION OF BIAFRANS This generation of Biafrans is different. Our fathers fought with nothing, they had no army, no allies, no world media, they were students, farmers, traders who were pushed into a war they did not want. When the world imposed a blockade and starved over 3.5 million children and women to death, they had no way to tell their own story, the world buried them and moved on. This generation cannot be buried. IPOB was born from that memory, It was born because after 1970, Nigeria told us to forget, Forget the starved children and mothers, Forget the Asaba massacre, Forget the abandoned property and the twenty pounds, Forget that we were told we are second-class citizens in our own land. But a people who forget their dead will die again. Why IPOB will not fail this generation: 1. We know Who We Are Now. In 1967, we were still trying to be Nigerians, In 2026, this generation knows we are Biafrans first, The Nigerian identity has failed us, in our schools, in our markets, in our oil and gas fields in Ohaji/Egbema that they want to take, we know the truth. 2. This Generation Has a Voice The Old One Did Not Have. Our fathers had only Radio Biafra Enugu which was bombed, Today, every Biafran child has Radio Biafra on his phone, tablet, computer and other gadgets, You cannot blockade the internet, You cannot blockade an idea that lives on every Facebook, every WhatsApp group, every X handle and space, every YouTube, Tiktok, etc, The world is now watching live. 3. IPOB Is Not Just An Organization, It Is a Spirit Of Survival. It lives in the trader in Onitsha and Aba, It lives in the student in Owerri who knows his history, It lives in the farmer in Ohaji who says my gas is not for Abuja to share alone while our communities are abandoned to ruins, You can arrest and disappear our people but you cannot arrest a spirit. 4. We Have Learned The Lesson Of 1967-70. The lesson was never again will we wait for foreign countries to save us, Never again will we beg for food while sitting on oil and gas, Never again will we trust that Nigeria will do justice. This generation will build our own economy, our own education, and the defense of our land. Nigeria thinks that by proscription, by military checkpoints in Biafraland, by detention, by infiltration, it will break this movement, It has failed for ten years. It will fail for the next fifty years. The generation of 1967 was told "To Keep Nigeria One Is A Task That Must Be Done." The generation of 2026 says "To Restore Biafra Is A Task That Must Be Done." IPOB led by the DOS under the leadership of Mazi Chikadibia Edoziem carries that task and this time, we will not fail. @StateDept @mfa_russia @ChinasaNworu @PMOIndia @10DowningStreet @EmekaGift100 #BiafraReferendumNow #BiafraExit

IPOB Accuses Security Agencies of Tagging Criminals as Members to Tarnish Image The Indigenous People of Biafra’s Directorate of States under Mazi Chukwukadibia Edoziem has publicly denied that Michael Okafor, Chinedu Joseph Chukwudozie (alias Kante), Chibunna Olisa, and Chigozie Olisa (alias Ability) are members of the group, describing media reports linking them to IPOB as false and a calculated attempt to associate the organisation with crime; the four men, who pleaded not guilty after being arraigned in an Abuja court on terrorism and kidnapping charges related to the alleged killing of a DSS operative, are unknown to the movement, IPOB insists, and it has challenged the police and DSS to produce any evidence of membership. iconsnews.com/2026/11/ipob-a…
