"Trump’s foreign policy is not rooted in American traditions, nor is it the result of a major shift in the balance of power in the world. Neither has Trump’s foreign policy produced tangible results for American security and prosperity.
This current trajectory in U.S. foreign policy should not be interpreted as the new, inevitable, enduring way that America will behave in the international system. Maybe, but probably not. Analysts in the U.S. and around the world who proclaim that everything has changed in global politics because of the Trump era are exaggerating the long-term effects of the current moment. Nothing Trump has done is immutable. The next president can reverse many of these policies and will be applauded by most Americans for doing so—even if repairing the damage they have caused will take time."

"If Democratic 2028 presidential candidates ... want to garner popular support for their foreign policy proposals, they must break radically with Trumpism. Instead of unilateralism, new American leaders must embrace cooperation with allies and renewed participation in international organizations. Instead of the imperial, lawless use of force, new American leaders must pledge only to use force when vital national security is being threatened, and then only with the support of the U.S. Congress. Instead of amoral deal-making with autocrats to enrich those connected to the White House, new American leaders must reaffirm a long-standing American tradition of supporting freedom, human rights, and democracy abroad."

Nobody is above criticism. But Hakeem Jeffries and Chuck Schumer put in the work, helped recruit competitive candidates, and fought to deliver what could be one of the largest Democratic midterm victories in American history.
With Democrats potentially gaining as many as nine Senate seats and an enormous House majority, those who helped engineer this victory deserve the opportunity to lead.
They earned that opportunity. Now let them use it to deliver what voters demanded: AFFORDABILITY & ACCOUNTABILITY.
We can demand more without disrespecting those who got us here.
We've long feared that Democrats would snatch defeat out of the jaws of victory.
Making @hakeemjeffries and @SenSchumer Speaker and Senate Majority Leader would be the very definition of that.

🚨JUST IN: MSNOW’s Jacob Soboroff just eviscerated Stephen Miller, laying out the horrific details of how he masterminded Trump’s most demented policies.
Miller is single-handedly responsible for Renee Good and Alex Pretti’s deaths. I had no idea it’s even worse:

Jones: In my home state of Georgia, there have been 83 governors since its creation back in the 1700s. All 83 were white men until Tuesday.
Prior to this Tuesday, there had only been three elected Black governors in American history in over 200 years. And in one night, five were elected.

Well, that won't work, Todd. You see, 101 former judges have asked New York to discipline you, including disbarment. You won't be a lawyer for long.
Plus, you'll also need to lawyer up for what you pulled with the Epstein files, the corrupt IRS "settlement," and prosecuting Trump's enemies...

This is so underhanded.
Mississippi inactivated voter registrations based on people having bad credit ratings. In other words, poor people.
And the Republican candidate for Senate still lost.
Voter inactivations surged ahead of Tuesday’s midterm elections, the first since the MS Secretary of State’s Office authorized unverified data from the credit bureau Experian for counties to use statewide when cleaning their voter rolls.

Today on November the 6th, our father, my mother's husband went home to be with his mother whom he lost when he was a young man. He also went to be with his father, whom he loved and respected immensely.
Richard Neece Ojeda lived an extraordinary life. He enjoyed the love of a wonderful woman. He traveled the world and lived a life of service that started in the US Air Force and continued after graduating from the Mayo Clinic where he was commissioned as an officer in the US Army.
After military service my father spent the next 55 years practicing anesthesia. He was the first man in Logan County history to perform an epidural at Logan Regional Hospital in Logan, WV. Over many years, he would be remembered as the man who gave the majority of epidurals for those giving birth in Logan County, West Virginia.
My father enjoyed traveling to Guatemala where he worked with Doctors Without Borders and administered anesthesia to children born with cleft palates. On a normal trip to perform that work, he would treat over 1000 children every time he was there.
Our father traveled the world. One of my favorite conversations with my father was in 1990, when I was stationed in Germany. I was at the train station in Frankfort when I called home. My father would tell me the details of that train station because he had also spent time there a couple of decades before me. In 2003, my father flew to South Korea to spend a couple of weeks with me where we climbed volcanoes in the South China Sea. We rode in a submarine and visited temples all across Cheju-Do Island. At the end of those two weeks, we both flew to Hawaii where we visited the USS Arizona at Pearl Harbor, visited Ernie Pyle's grave at the Punchbowl and climbed Diamond Head Peak in Honolulu.
Our father was a very well-read man. He maintained a library in our home that is still in existence today. He was an avid supporter of scientists like Albert Einstein, Neal deGrasse Tyson and Carl Sagan and could spend hours talking about quarks and black holes. My father was a passionate Catholic and said his rosary almost every night. He was proud to be a member of the Knights of Columbus.........and my father was a very generous man. He gave freely. He loved everybody and believed that everyone deserved a second chance. He loved to ski and spent time skiing in Canada, Colorado and of course in the mountains of West Virginia. But most importantly, He loved his family. He spoke of his brothers and sisters often and was truly proud of each and every one of them.
He would often speak about his brothers who all had reputations as being some of the best welders to work for the mines in southern West Virginia. His fondest memories go back to his childhood when he lived in the Coal Camp in Dehue, West Virginia. They didn't grow up with a lot of money.......but they were rich in love. His father taught every one of them the value of hard work while their mother showed them all how to be generous with those around them. If you were a child that was close to their home when it was dinner time, she fed them too.
I could continue speaking the praises of my wonderful father. We will love him forever and live lives that will guarantee us all, that we will see him again.
Love you Pop ❤️

Russia is bombing terminally ill children.
This is not war.
This is pure, deliberate cruelty.
A place that exists for one reason—to give critically ill, dying children a shred of peace and comfort in their final days—was turned into a war zone by russian drones. At the House of Butterflies hospice in Chernivtsi, staff had to haul these kids, many on life support and unable to move, out of their beds and into shelters while air-raid sirens screamed, russian drones roared overhead, and nearby strikes lit the night with fires. russia is a cruel evil terrorist state! We can never hate them enough
