Rodney and his beautiful book display. His youth development program, Raising Men and Women Lawn Care Service, is a cause well worth your support.
I MADE IT! ❤️🙏🏾 This morning started with heartbreak after waking up to find my van broken into, two windows shattered, and two lawnmowers stolen. For a moment, I thought I wouldn’t make it to the Louisiana Book Festival. But I reminded myself that one bad moment doesn’t have to ruin an entire day. Despite everything, I made it! Standing here surrounded by the five children’s books I’ve worked so hard to bring to life means more to me today than ever before. They may have taken my lawnmowers, but they couldn’t take my joy, my purpose, or my determination. Thank you to everyone who reached out with love and encouragement. Today, I’m choosing gratitude over frustration. ❤️

A new way to Buy American 🇺🇲
I got fed up with Amazon not making it easy to choose local USA made goods--in fact their sellers are mostly Chinese sources that have thin USA fronts. So I made an Amazon competitor. Sign up at Gno.shop now, and invite your friends. Let's make a more sustainable future. Gno.shop. Made in the USA for the world.

Mimetic desire, ahead of the curve nitter.gq/ImmortalSerito/status/…
At the third Nashville Antichrist lecture, Peter Robinson asks investor Peter Thiel about the business implications of his understanding of mimetic desire—something Thiel picked up as a Stanford undergrad from academic René Girard, whose teachings he said were existentially troubling because of how they called individual autonomy into question. Did he invest early in Facebook because of that awareness of Girardian theory? Thiel, after first saying he is very bad at answering such questions, tells Robinson the right answer is both yes and no. He says that, while one evaluates a business on its own terms, he was also always thinking about Girard—an influence he describes as a corrective to an earlier, Randian libertarianism that reduces the world to the individual. Thiel continues: if the world is simply constituted of atomized individuals, why would you want friends—why would Facebook be both good and, he adds, dangerous? (Thiel, who served on the Facebook/Meta board until 2022, has reportedly sold most of his stake in the company.)

Is AI the scapegoat they need to pull this off
It starts on a Friday morning at 3 a.m. Nobody is awake to see it. Phones sit charging on nightstands. Then the early shift wakes up, someone opens a banking app to check a paycheck, and the balance says zero. They refresh. Zero. They try another app. Zero. By 5 a.m. 𝕏 lighting up. By 6 a.m. debit cards are declining at gas stations, ATMs are dark, and every account in America is frozen. This has happened before. Roosevelt had been in office about 36 hours when he closed every bank in the country at 1:00 a.m. on Monday, March 6, 1933. For about a week, customers could not withdraw, transfer, or deposit money. Banks in 37 states had already closed or restricted withdrawals days before. Banks were sorted into solvent and insolvent, and around 4,000 never reopened. By noon the story is set. A massive cyberattack. Powered by AI. No politician to blame, no bank to blame, just a faceless enemy that moved faster than anyone could respond. This is the story regulators are already preparing for. Today Reuters reported that the Fed, the OCC and the FDIC are questioning banks about autonomous AI agents and how they would shut them down. The ECB set an end of October deadline for banks to show plans against AI driven attacks. UK supervisors are urging the largest banks to examine "bare metal" recovery systems that run independently of their main infrastructure. The IMF warned against complacency and said a major attack on a critical institution could undermine confidence. One consultant quoted said a serious attack could lock customers out of their accounts and disrupt payments across the economy. Look at what has already hit banks this year. In February the French government confirmed hackers got into its national bank account registry and exposed 1.2 million accounts. In July a ransomware group claimed a Deutsche Bank breach. The bank says the incident was at a third party provider and it has no evidence its own network was touched, so treat that claim as unverified. On October 8 CrowdStrike said a China based attacker likely used AI agents to hit South Korean banks. I want to be clear. None of these froze anyone's money. They were data breaches and warnings. I am using them to show the direction, not to claim the freeze has started. By Sunday night the lines are around the block. Nobody can buy groceries, pay rent, or fill a tank. Everyone is waiting for someone to say something. Then someone steps up to a podium. It could be Trump. It could be someone else. They say your money is safe. Every dollar will be returned. And here is the new way you will get it. In USDC or USDT. The road is already paved. The GENIUS Act created the federal framework for dollar stablecoins, and the issuers are already operating inside it. And these coins are not like cash in your hand. Issuers like Tether and Circle can freeze balances at specific addresses and have done it before. Now picture the person with $10,000 in that account. Or $50,000. Or $100,000. They have been locked out for two weeks. The mortgage is due. The kids need food. The offer on the table is to get every dollar back today, just in a different form. Will they say no? That is the trick. Nobody is forced. You just walk through the only door that is open. A month later most of the money has moved. Once it lives in the new system, it does not come back to the old one. I want to say this clearly. This is my theory. It is how I feel it plays out, and I could be wrong about the trigger, the timing, and who plays the hero. I am not predicting a date. The receipts show a risk that is real and growing. The rest is me connecting dots. What I am sure of is this. If you cannot hold the keys, someone else decides whether you can see your balance. That is why I audit this stuff. I would rather be early than locked out. ISO Ledger 🛡
