ALT South Asian Heritage Month is the name given to the month-long celebration in United Kingdom to celebrate the heritage of people with roots in the South Asian countries of India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan, and the Maldives.
ALT South Asian Heritage Month first took place in 2020 and runs from 18th July to 17th August each year. SAHM seeks to commemorate, mark and celebrate South Asian cultures, histories and communities.
