Convince me trump isn't a russian asset. As many have said, what would he do differently if putin hadn't given him a list to check off? Begin in Helsinki 2018 were trump sides with putin over the US intelligence service...

Very much this. #SlavaUkraรฏni
๐Ÿšจ Ukraine is ignoring Trumpโ€™s demands to stop striking Russian oil refineries โ€” and the Kremlin is furious. Putin aide Yuri Ushakov complained that Kyiv had โ€œdisobeyedโ€ and was ignoring Trumpโ€™s requests. Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak claimed Ukraine attacked three oil refineries and a gas-chemical complex today. A major fire was reported at the Novokuybyshevsk refinery. Moscowโ€™s outrage reveals the real problem: the Kremlin expects Washington to restrain Ukraine while Russia continues its own attacks. Putin wants immunity for his war machine, not peace.

I don't know about you, but I would rather have a President who happens to be Muslim than a man who happens to be a Russian asset, a convicted felon, and a sexual predator.

โ€ผ๏ธTwo very important things happened this week re Alumina from Ireland First, the EU Sanctions envoy confirmed that alumina from Ireland and therefore the EU was โ€œundoubtedlyโ€ making its way to the Russian military production lines. Second, Rusal has signed a deal with Ghana to develop an alumina refinery in Ghana producing annually, a little over what Aughinish sends to Russia annually. The announcement referenced Aughinishโ€™s 10% contribution to Russiaโ€™s alumina needs and the possibility of sanctions. I believe the first event signals the EU now expects to take measures against alumina exports. It may not be this package, but the confirmation commands a response and the talk of reducing exports on a scaled basis suggests something will happen. The second event, shows Russia too believes that Aughinishโ€™s days are numbered and are scrambling to secure their alumina supply into the future. There is also the context of the current planning application from Rusal the caustic waste dump at Aughinish which is in turmoil. If planning isnโ€™t granted - the site cannot continue beyond 2029. With both of these events and the planning context, there is now little reason for Ireland not to take action against alumina exports. If the EU is planning at acting at some point, and Russia is actively planning for a post-Aughinish reality, then prolonging the debacle domestically only serves to harm Irelandโ€™s reputation. It needs to end.

putin calls his troops home, war ends. Ukraine is fighting an invasion for putins ego. #russiaIsEarthsCancer. #FuckPutin #FuckTrump
Russia was never in any danger of being invaded. All of those russian soldiers aren't dying to protect their country, they're dying for their country's right to invade and control other countries. They're dying for nothing.

Patrick Stewart on Trump (2017): โ€œYou might say to me, well, youโ€™re not an American, what has it got to do with you? The fact is when America sneezes, the world catches a cold. America I think is on the edge of a very bad flu infection and itโ€™s because of the man whoโ€™s in the White Houseโ€

BREAKING: MIC DROP! Senator Mark Kelly delivers the best takedown of Trump's failed Iran War that we've ever heard โ€” just in time for the midterm elections! This is an absolute slam dunk... "We had a President take this country to war without a strategic goal, without a plan, without a timeline, and without an exit strategy. And now he's stuck. He doesn't know what to do," Kelly said, while campaigning for Senate candidate Troy Jackson in Maine. "I sit on the Armed Services and the Intelligence Committees, both of them. And I will say, from what I know about this, the Iranians weren't any closer to developing a nuclear weapon this year than they were when I first got to the United States Senate in 2020," said Kelly. "And it's this President who, by the way, tore up the deal in 2018 that started them to enrich the uranium at a higher level." "So if you think there was a problem, this President created the problem!" he continued. "But he didn't need to go to war and put Americans in harm's way. We have now 20 deceased service members. Over 800 injured." By now, most discerning people have come to realize that this war was never about nuclear weapons. Trump launched this war because Israel convinced him that he could win a quick, splashy victory and Israel wanted this war because they want to destroy a regional adversary. American interests were never at stake. "And what did the American people get out of this?" asked Kelly. "They got nothing. They got higher gas prices. They got higher food prices." "We've got service members deployed for record numbers of days on the USS Abraham Lincoln. And I understand going on cruise can be hard. It's challenging," he went on. "But really, they had eight service members who tried to commit suicide because of the conditions aboard the ship. And I've got to tell you, the worst thing about that, by far, for me, was to see the Secretary of Defense go straight to camera and say, there's no problem, and we give commanders everything they need. That is not leadership." "Leadership has taken some responsibility for whatever the situation is," added Kelly. "And by the way, how hard would it have been for him to say, hey, I recognize there's a problem. We're going to look into the problem, and we're going to make things better for these service members because they deserve that. It's not hard to do. This Secretary of Defense was incapable of doing that." Kelly is right to lay the blame for this disastrous war as much at Hegseth's feet as Trump's. Our booze-breathed, Fox News-fried "Secretary of War" is more interested in posturing as a tough alpha male than he is in actually leading our troops. These midterm elections are, among other things, a referendum on this war. If you're sick of wasting blood and treasure on endless wars, vote blue! Please โค๏ธ and share if you think that Mark Kelly nailed it!

Russia's neighbours, a ledger: Moldova, 1992: Russian troops in Transnistria. Still there. Georgia, 2008: about 20% occupied. Still occupied. Ukraine, 2014: Crimea. Ukraine, 2022: full invasion. The pattern isn't NATO. It's Moscow.

Russia was entirely secure so long as it stayed within its own borders. Talk of "Russia's security concerns" is just propaganda talking points, meaning the freedom to invade whomever they want.
Ukraine can have its own military. Nobody is arguing otherwise. But Russia also has security concerns, and those concerns cannot simply be dismissed because they come from Moscow. The issue is what happens when Ukraineโ€™s military is increasingly integrated with NATO, an alliance Russia has opposed expanding towards its borders for decades. So why is Ukraineโ€™s security treated as the only concern worth discussing, while Russiaโ€™s is dismissed outright?

According to The Economist: "It appears to have come from a small circle around the president, Mr Musk and Steve Witkoff, the special envoy to Russia. Reports suggest Mr Musk wanted to punish Ukraine for striking Russian refineries. One official says he contacted the White House only after imposing the restrictions." If true, this suggests Elon Musk imposed the terminal-speed restrictions unilaterally, before notifying the White House. Congress must urgently investigate whether Musk acted without government authorization. It is unacceptable for a private citizen to exercise unilateral control over a vital military capability. Starshield is a defense system, and decisions to restrict its operational capabilities should rest with the appropriate government authorities, not the CEO of a private contractor. This should alarm everyone. The America-Ukraine link grows even spottier economist.com/europe/2026/10โ€ฆ
