Recently, my eyes became open to the fact that you can be very good at your job and not be needed. Some months ago, some sort of laziness became a part of me that I began attending work late. One day, my wife sat me down and told me how displeased she was that I no longer took my work seriously. That I might end up earning a query from my Manager. I brushed it off and told her in our local parlance "nothing dey happen". That I am good at my job and highly needed. Now, since the past three months, I have written over ten application letters to different hospitality organizations in search of a new job. The place where I work presently, the salary is poor and I am tired of asking for an increase. Since then, only one out of these organizations have managed to call me for an interview. This has humbled me in a way I didn't see coming. If I lose my job today, what are my chances of securing a new one immediately? It has also made me realize that you can be good at your job. But it doesn't end there. You have to be needed.

We live in democratic society so you can tell someone who to vote for. It’s a “to each his own” system. But if you walk outside your house and see how things are going with your eyes, your brain should tell you this current government is not supposed to return. If you use that same brain to look at every presidential candidate, it should also tell you Peter Obi is the man for the job regardless of what state he hails from.
