@SkipTheDishes vehicles loading in Osborne Village reduce traffic to one lane, increasing danger to cyclists. Solidarity with delivery drivers - this is not their fault. @Mayor_Bowman @BrianPallister prevent cyclist deaths with regulation and infrastructure solutions.

In just about every other place I’ve ridden a bike, I’ve gotten honked at for riding side-by-side. Not here. – at Maastricht, The Netherlands

What it’s like to own a U-lock: Day 1 - “FIVE extra keys?! What kind of loser needs so many keys 🤣” Day 2 - “I have lost everything.”

Happy spring! Make sure to pump up your rear tire to at least 40psi so you don’t get a flat tire!

The coolest thing you can do is kicking your leg over your bicycle and continuing to coast with one foot still on your pedal as you arrive at your destination

Building two wheels requires 72 spokes, which can be purchased new for $179. You can re-use old spokes by bringing them to the same shop to be cut and re-threaded, all for only $14. This is a major Bike Dump style move as it combines bargain hunting with environmentalism!

One day.... once we reopen..... we will build enough twitter clout..... that people will come volunteer with us.... so that we will have more than like 7 volunteers....that is our vision......

Something you’ll only hear in the bike dump: “is that a biopace crank or is it just bent?!” 😝

Biopace cranks were oval cranks popular decades ago but rarely if ever still used. As community bike shops get most of our bikes and parts from the landfill, we’re likely the only shops where you’ll still find them. And as we get most of our stuff from the dump, it’s often bent!

No one: Absolutely no one: Bike Dump volunteer, holding up an incredibly broken and useless bike part: who would throw this out!?!
2
No one: Me about to tell anyone who will listen that the Bike Dump really needs volunteers:
