#Epilepsy and #neurodivergence complete forming friendships, it’s hard to explain and to understand the experience of a brain that fires differently. #ADHD #ASD #EpilepsyAwarenessMonth #differentstripes

Although this isn’t technology that is unique to Tesla, it’s super cool! We often forget the implications that technology has for folks with disabilities, a self driving vehicle could mean a lot for folks with epilepsy for example. #DisabilityTwitter #epilepsyawareness #coolstuff
Thank you @Tesla for this helpful and cool feature :-)

Safer sex practices are super important for everyone, and they can mean different things for different people. Folks with disabilities have their own unique concerns to attend to in physical relationships, just like in all aspects of life.

It is our right to explore our bodies, senses, and get to know what brings us pleasure, it is possible to make your fantasies come to life regardless of your culturally perceived level of ability. Finding your way safely to things that bring you joy can be so exhilarating.

During a stay in the Epilepsy Monitoring unit my mom started talking to me about $ and put on Fox News…sure enough, straight into a Tonic Clonic…lol, but seriously everyone’s triggers are different. @BrainAblaze #EpilepsyAwareness #seizuretriggers #FakeNews

At what point does reducing your AEDs become a conversation after VNS placement? @MikeKnoxComedy @BrainAblaze @Mackenzie_J_o My neurologist has yet to bring it up to me…and also, the potential of getting a drivers license.

Felt super welcomed and relieved to be apart of the epilepsy support group that @BrainAblaze puts together. Today was my first time participating and I am so grateful that I discovered this community. #EpilepsyAwareness #epilepsysupport #epilepsywarrior #MentalHealthMatters

Just got my ADHD diagnosis after years of thinking that it was just apart of my epilepsy or that I was just lazy or that this or that that…comorbidity with neurology conditions is rough, parsing it all out can be such a challenge!

Currently reading Surviving Wonderland by @sharonpowell, the vulnerability with which she shares her experience with temporal lobe epilepsy is so appreciated by me. Although it is not my specific diagnosis I can relate on so many levels…thank you Sharon.
What is something strange that makes you happy? I like the crunch of my dogs eating treats and the sound water coolers make when they bubble.
