BITCOIN'S HASHRATE IS UP ABOUT 1,300X SINCE 2016
The network's 7-day average hashrate has risen from about 0.78 EH/s in January 2016 to about 1,007 EH/s today, or 1 zetahash per second, across three halvings.
It's still just below the October 2025 peak of about 1,136 EH/s.
Every jump in hashrate raises the hardware and energy an attacker would need to rewrite bitcoin's history.
