🇻🇪 Over 50,000 people are missing in Venezuela The UN's aid chief Tom Fletcher warned today the toll will climb much higher. "We've got over 50,000 people missing, over 500 people dead, so a massive job to go through the rubble" Two quakes, magnitude 7.2 and 7.5, hit the northern coast within a minute of each other on Wednesday night, the strongest Venezuela has felt in over a century. La Guaira, north of Caracas, took the worst of it. With barely any heavy machinery, rescuers and volunteers are clawing through concrete with their hands.
