Important metric to always keep in mind; how did the asset perform against gold?
In the below example, the home owner would have been (financially) better off simply holding gold.
The purchasing power (using gold as the point of reference) of the money gained, has decreased.
Property purchasers today could use gold or bitcoin as their hurdle rate. Might be tricky to outperform either…
My parents paid $16,000 for the house I grew up in. It’s now worth $783,000 on Zillow.
Sounds like they made a fortune, right?
In gold terms, that house cost 450 ounces in 1962. At today’s gold price, it’s worth 250 ounces.
The house actually lost value.
Politicians get away with robbing working class people blind because most people don’t realize their nominal gains aren’t real gains.
They think they’re inflation-adjusted rich, but they’re not.

Proud of @Metaplanet and congratulations to @DylanLeClair and @gerovich for establishing the network in such a short period of time.
Shareholders have held during uncertainty, criticism, and ridicule. Our conviction will be rewarded. The table is set and it’s time to run.
$MPJPY will become the largest global $BTC native financial institution the next 5-10 years. Quite an accomplishment. $SUPA will be glorious!

$MSTR
Whether you love this company or hate it, you simply can’t ignore it.
$MSTR is turning over about 5% of its market value every day on average.
That’s several times higher than Bitcoin itself and an order of magnitude higher than the mega caps.
On open interest relative to market cap, it sits at roughly 59%, far above Tesla, Meta, Nvidia and the rest of the Mag 7.
Among liquid US equities of comparable size, @Strategy stands alone on both metrics.
It’s is the most interesting company in the market. Period.
And even the haters can’t deny it.
They can try to move on and talk about other things, but they keep coming back to $MSTR.
The reality is that few other topics generate the same engagement for them. No matter how far they try to pivot, Strategy keeps pulling them back into the conversation.
You simply can’t detach.
We haven’t even officially entered the bull market yet.
The numbers are already turning in the right direction.
$MSTR is outperforming $IBIT year to date.
Today, $MSTR closed up 7.52%, compared with 2.42% for $IBIT. That’s a $4.6 billion increase in Strategy’s market cap in a single day.
Folks aren’t prepared for the fireworks when this bull market truly kicks off.
I can smell the fumes of ignition.
Mission: Strategy.

Another must-listen on digital credit.
@chasepalmieri is a thought leader on the topic, and it shows in his sharp, challenging questions. And @colemacro takes the time to answer thoroughly which pushes the convo deeper.
Strive doesn't want to be the next @Strategy.
I sat down with @ColeMacro, CEO of @Strive, for a candid conversation about bitcoin amplification, $ASST vs. $MSTR, $SATA vs. $SATS vs. $STRC , digital credit yields, dividend innovation, and Strive's aggressive approach to maximizing total returns.
I learned a ton, and one thing became clear: Strive and Strategy are on very different paths.

I bet David can shoot 3’s.
3’s are 1.5x 2’s.
Kinda like MSTR is 1.5x ₿TC.

“Inflation is made by government and no one else.” - Milton Friedman
I enjoyed prescribing to Mr. Friedman’s theory as it absolved me of any sin regarding my (past) involvement in property investment.
I now see Mr. Friedman’s statement as false.
While government borrowing does indeed increase the quantity of money in circulation, our (the people’s) own addiction to borrowing plays a significant part.
I don’t want to participate in this immoral societal ill (non PPR, leveraged property investment) that steals from the working/saving class.
Part of my motivation for wanting to grow the BitStrategy movement.

Reckon I’d prefer Strategy buys Bitcoin, rather than ASST…
I’d like to see Strategy take a position in $ASST.
If we’re going to promote them, why don’t we take a slice of the upside too?
Doesn’t have to be crazy.
$100m maybe?
Less than a week’s worth of buybacks.
Strive for Bitcoin.
You know it makes sense.

Strategy should buy 1/3 of $ASST, or as much as possible outside the 1-year minimum of cash reserves.
They’re the only real competition to $MSTR. Let’s face it.
It’s a dog-eat-dog world.

Either could have Strategic value. If you think of Strategy as a central bank of bitcoin (which, yes, causes many bitcoiners anaphylactic shock, and I understand that), holding SATA would provide optionality as a trading vehicle for when STRC trades weakly relative to SATA. Strive already owns STRC, of course, but has not used it like this or explicitly acknowledged this optionality (that I’m aware of) yet. It is one of those things that looks cooperative on the surface, but also creates a dependency. That dependency can also be a vulnerability.
