I was at the grocery store when the woman in front of me had her card declined.
She tried it again.
Declined.
She started taking a few things out of the cart, so I told the cashier I’d cover the rest.
It wasn’t a huge amount.
She kept saying I didn’t have to, but I’d already paid.
Two weeks later, I was getting coffee when someone said, “Hey, grocery store.”
It was her.
