Nine months ago we launched a Bitcoin business into the heart of a bear market 😰
Not the easiest timing. Like every downturn, the last year has sorted the people with real conviction from those who were not quite there yet.
But membership of the Bitcoin Business Network has continued to climb.
These are people who look past the chart. They understand what Bitcoin actually is, they want to build with it and be part of what comes next.
Now the mood is shifting. As the price picks up once more, mainstream circles are opening up to the conversation again.
Of course, we are excited by the price action like everyone else.
But what we really care about is growing this community. Bringing together more people who believe Bitcoin lays the foundations for stronger businesses.
Together, we can use this platform to drive positive economic change across the UK and help make it a place where innovation thrives again.
The hardest part is behind us. Now the fun begins 👇

The UK sold 395 tonnes of gold between 1999 and 2002.
The sales were announced to the market in advance, so everyone knew the flood was coming.
Raised $3.5 billion at the time. It's worth over $50 billion today.

The US is moving because senators are taking the time to learn how Bitcoin actually works.
The UK can close that gap, and it starts with education. Thanks for the platform here @BitcoinColl 🇬🇧
Proud to be doing this work with @bitcoinpolicy on both sides of the Atlantic.
Worth a watch, @Joeyg_poh 👇
Why is the UK so far behind on Bitcoin?
US senators are learning about Bitcoin through the work of @bitcoinpolicy and @xapobankapp. In the UK, the appetite to learn isn’t there yet.

Every business that lasts a century survives several economic cycles.
@nico_lechuga thinks a Bitcoin treasury becomes one of the normal ways to do that (and I agree)!

@orangejuice_btc wants to buy it, keep you running it, and never sell.

I love chatting about Bitcoin + business, so this was an awesome chat and very relevant to what we're building with BBN in the UK!

How do you respond to people who raise environmental concerns about Bitcoin?
I sat down with @JayW132 of @BitcoinColl recently at @PumphreysCoffee. We covered that question properly, along with plenty of other business and Bitcoin topics.

There's a quarter of a billion pounds sitting on Oyster cards nobody has used in a year.
£3.08 average per card. Not worth the trip to claim it.
Call it Oyster dust.

Building BBN in public.
The Bitcoin Business Network has grown faster than we expected this year, and now it's time to get clear on what it actually offers.
So I'm asking: Businesses, individuals, members & not yet members.
It's 8 super simple questions, I would really appreciate tapping the link in comments.
It'll show us where to focus, and it'll help move Bitcoin forward in the UK 🇬🇧
