It took me 9 years to realize, and I will tell you in 2 minutes.
1. Even when you trust your close friends and family. Don't tell them everything.

We don't want firings ... we want arrests, perp walks, and long prison sentences.
Without accountability, nothing changes.
Huh. Wonder why Microsoft would want to break encryption...they're not evil...right?? ☠️
The thing that drives me crazy about quantum computing is that you ask about the use cases and they're like "it can break encryption!" and you're like "is that a thing we want?" and they say "It can probably do other things too!"

I got to see this painting in person a number of years ago. Digital and print representations don’t do this work justice in the slightest. It’s one of the most beautifully executed paintings I’ve ever seen in person. One of those works that truly makes you feel.
#BlackHistoryMonth Moment:
Henry Ossawa Tanner (1859-1937) was the first Black American artist to gain international recognition for his paintings. best known for his paintings, Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Tanner was the son of an African Methodist Episcopal bishop, Tanner initially studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in Philadelphia under Thomas Eakins, who was a significant influence on his early work. In 1891, Tanner moved to Paris to escape the racial prejudice he faced in the United States. This move allowed him greater freedom in his artistic expression and career. He would spend most of his life in France, where he was more readily accepted in the art community.
His style was influenced by both American realism and French academic art. Tanner's work often blended realism with an atmospheric quality, especially in his later, more impressionistic pieces. Among his most famous paintings are "The Banjo Lesson" (1893) - which depicts African American life with dignity and respect, "The Annunciation" (1898) - a religious painting that gained him international recognition, and "Nicodemus Visiting Jesus" (1899) - another biblical scene where he captures the interaction with a poignant subtlety.
Tanner received numerous awards, including the French Legion of Honor in 1923. He was the first African-American to be granted full membership in the National Academy of Design in New York.
Although he occasionally returned to the U.S., he lived most of his life in France, where he died on May 25, 1937, in Paris.
Tanner's work has been celebrated for its quality and his success as an African-American artist in an era when racial barriers were significant. His paintings are now held in major museums around the world, including the Smithsonian American Art Museum in Washington, D.C., which has a significant collection of his work.

I think we are starting to see the beginnings of the dreaded “Ethereum Death Spiral” 🦇💩 🌀, otherwise known as “the flushing of the turd.” Let me explain.🧵
See, the thing about Proof of Work is that mining is largely decoupled from hodling.
When you mine, you don’t NEED to hodl any bitcoin as all. You have some fixed cost, illiquid equipment (ASICS, hosting infrastructure), and then you pay your marginal cost for electricity - usually on some very cheap or even negatively-priced rate.
You could, in theory, mine without believing in the asset at all. As long as the marginal cost of your electricity is lower that the mining profit, you’ll mine and sell for fiat profit. And the difficulty adjustment and basic rationality ensures it will always be profitable.
This is not true of Proof of Stake. In order to stake, ✨you must hold large quantities of the asset itself. ✨ Therefore, if you stake ethereum while the price is nuking, you are actively and willfully losing money. This asset is also highly liquid. You could unstake and capitulate it for bitcoin on an exchange in minutes - orders of magnitude faster than you could sell an ASIC.
This financial coupling of mining to investment in a highly liquid asset is a dangerous combination. As the asset nukes in price, there is pressure on stakers both to sell their eth AND unstake it, simultaneously fucking both the asset price and the security of the network. This is a vicious cycle, 🔁 which obviously ends in the inevitable, long-prophesied Death of ETH.
NB: this is the first time that ETH has nuked relative to BTC as a Proof of Stake network, and as such the first time the Death Spiral hypothesis will be tested.

The crocodile jump stunt in Live and Let Die (1973) is one of the most daring and memorable moments in the James Bond franchise.
Performed by Ross Kananga, the owner of the crocodile farm where the scene was filmed, the stunt involved Bond escaping by running across the backs of five live crocodiles.
Kananga, who also inspired the villain's name in the film, executed the stunt himself after professional stuntmen refused, deeming it too dangerous.
It took him 5 attempts...

Democrats think that the key to healthcare is "access". But the proper question is "access to what?" If you have access to a doctor who is going to poison you in return for a kickback from Big Pharma, then access is worse than nothing at all. That's the system that we have now.

I have a first test print of my drawing.
The contrast and level of detail achieved by Hahnemühle's German Etching Fine Art paper is second to none. It looks wonderful!
